If you spent every dime you had on attorney fees, and got damn lucky, maybe you could prevail.

The justice system doesn't work very well in America. That's why we have the crime rates that we do. In addition, that's why companies like this continue to exist and do the things you described. Yes, it is possible to teach these crooks a lesson or two. People have won huge awards from courts. But, those people won the lotteries. In essence, that's the odds of winning in something like this. If you depend on credit, you are vulnerable to every scam and half-assed con artist that has the ability to place remarks on your file. I don't advise you to pursue this. However, I'm not an attorney. Perhaps you should speak with several and see what they recommend. About the best you can hope for is that one day a victim they destroyed will drive over and paint the walls red with the people who work at this crooked company. When you cheat enough people, sooner or later that is what will happen to you.

You will have to fight them on a Federal Level since they are governed by Federal Law...

this won't be easy..And there are so many hand in the melting pot I wonder how many federal institutions are involved in this also.since no one seems to want to help or get to the bottom of this.....You must fight them on a Federal Level...Have they violated any of your constitutional rights?...I'm sure if you look hard enough you will find the answer with a little help from above....I also am a victim...and am still fighting this....

FAIRBANKS CAPITAL AND SELECT PORTFOLIO SERVICING RIPOFFS

Thanks for the advice..We are going to take it and file with the above departments every week until they settle with the amount stated. We received a letter for Select Portfolio Servicing, Inc. which interestingly enough, has no return addresss on the letterhead nor phone number...The letter came yesterday and says that they are responding to our request, value us as a customer (NOT) and appreciate the opportunity to serve us..The only way they can serve us is to send us the money we told them we wanted...We will continue to file weekly reports on Ripoffreports.com as well as send a letter to each of the above names you gave us....When we receive the settlement money, we will file a report on line indicating so...Thanks for your help...These people have destroyed us. Fairbanks is fighting us saying they owe us nothing...They told us not to pay 3 mo. mortgage pymts, because we were going to close on refinancing of our house of 26 years --they delayed, they delayed and then hit us with their attorneys fees, etc...PLUS THE REAL KICKER -- they charged us for the foreclosure fees..The worst thing is that they wrecked our credit and the loss loans, credit cards we couldn't get etc....has hurt us and want damages...anyone have any ideas? thanks, Nick and Jan in Miami--P.s they also sai d that it would take several months ( this has been on our credit report since summer, 2003--closing was 9/03) TO GET THE FORECLOSURE INFO OFF OUR CREDIT REPORT...FUMING IN MIAMI
