On 12/28/05 I went to the Falls Church Urgent Care Clinic on 920 West Broad St in Falls Church VA 22046 (703) 538-1505. They had told my husband that they took Blue Cross and Blue Shield of GA.

When we finished up the manager told me that for some reason my insurance was declined and they would call them tomorrow and get it taken care of, she actually said that she could not call them due to Georgia being on a different time zone from VA (it was very hard not to laugh at such a comment).

The manager said that I had to pay the full $120 and the next day she would straighten it out with Blue Cross and then refund my credit card. The next day I called Blue Cross to make sure I was covered and they said I was.

So I had my husband call the clinic and specifically tell them to check the GA box on their computer as Blue Cross told us, after an hour he became frustrated with the manager at the clinic and told her to send him a bill and Blue Cross would just reimburse him. That was 12/29/05. He called back on 1/3/05 and was told that they mailed him one and that they refunded the credit card for $95 (all but the deductible)

Today I found out that there was no refund and so I called them again and talked to the manager again and this time I was told that it was against their policy to send a person a copy of their bill!!!! I have called about 20 times to try to just get a copy of my bill and they refuse.

Charge back your $95.00

Contact your credit card company (phone AND write) and tell them the clinic agreed to refund $95.00, but hasn't done so. This should be the end of it. Do not pay your balance below $95.00 until they credit it back. Also should this dispute continue, you want to get proof from the insurance company that the $95.00 has been paid.
