Family Dollar Store ripoff New Castle Delaware
The Family Dollar Store claims to offer you a job that leads to a career. I was hired as a temp w/partime hours. 4pm-10pm 11pm during the holiday season. I was told by the district manger that my hours would remain so, and would possibly change, but it would be very small change. I was due for a review in december which led to a full time position 10am-6pm and I asked my Manager before my schedule had change if I could work day shift because I had no one caring for my children during my 4pm-10pm hours, I also asked if I would be put on permenately as a full time regular employee. She spoke with me briefly and her words were exactly "Oh yeah your definetly a fulltime regular. I got you covered. "Then as sudden as my day time hours came they went... right back to night shift, and my my hours were cut I was reduced to 15-20 hours.
I had no one to care for my children at night, I went and I worked for 1 hour and forty min. I worried so much I asked the assistant manger on duty if I could go home to be at the house with my children, she let me go home and the next two days I just cried I exhausted my self so much I couldn't think of what to do about this. Any Suggestions?
