family dollar district manager Ivan Family Dollar, over worked, underpaid houston, Texas
I am reporting on behalf of my husband, who knows nothing about this. He would be fearful of losing his job. The district manager in this area (his name is Ivan), is making some store managers drive to a weekly meeting on their day off. The trip is 80 miles round trip, and there is no reimbursement for fuel cost. My husband works 70 hours a week, and has one day off, now he doesn't even get that. The pay sucks and the responsibility is enormous. There should be laws against this sort of bullying and slavery!!!!

My husband also works for this DM and he comes home very late, work doubles all the time, and has employees getting special service that are females. I believe this DM should be fired because he doesnt know what he's doing. I myself has been in retail management for more that 20 yrs and what I hear about him, he would have been fired or being an employee sued a long time ago. There is a law protecting employee for slave working employees and being verbally abused in the workplace. But I have to say good thing I don't work for this company or DM because he wouldn't have a job any longer.
