I purchased a battery from Fancy Scooters off Ebay on 7/20. The battery arrived 7/26. The first thing I noticed was that no electrolyte was shipped with the battery. I contacted the seller and they advised that due to shipping restrictions they could not ship it. I told them that this was not listed in their item description. They stated that they would change their item description to reflect this.
On or about 7/30 I purchased electrolyte and charged the battery. I put the battery in my ATV. On or about 8/1, I attempted to start my ATV. The battery was dead. I took the battery out and charged it overnight. I left the battery without a charge for 12 hours and observed that the voltage had dropped to 10 volts.
This battery will not hold a charge.
8/3 I contacted Fancy Scooters by phone. I was told that the battery was "brand new" and that they would not exchange the battery. I explained to them that it may be "brand new" but it is clearly NOT holding a charge. They told me that they had never had a "bad brand new battery." I told them that they had one now and to make such a statement is unreasonable as these batteries are made in CHINA and batteries can be bad even if they are BRAND NEW. Fancy Scooters responded even if it is bad you have waited to long because we haven't even shipped a battery out in over a week.
