Farm and Home Energy TURNED OFF PROPANE WITHOUT WRITTEN NOTICE Telford , Pennsylvania
Farm and Home Oil is a rip off! They came and filled my propane tank in September 2010. Gave me a bill for 1000.00. At the time I was in the middle of a hardship and called to see if I could pay 200.00 a month until the bill was paid off. I was told absolutely not by Joan in the Farm and Home office. By Feb. I was receiving almost daily phone calls from Farm and Home to pay the balance on my bill. I paid the account in full, and still had 40% propane in my tank. Next morning after I paid the balance, Farm and Home came without notice and refilled the entire tank and left me another 900.00 bill. Again I called the office and tried to make arrangements to pay the amount over several months and it was denied. I made payments every month of at least 100.00 and now on a holiday weekend.......I found out after trying to turn my stove on that they locked my tank and stopped service. I was never provided with written correspondence notifying me that if I failed to pay the remaining 250.00 my tank would be locked. I am now without hot water, and the ability to use my stove. I am going to look into what I can do to report this company further, and change propane companies. Convenient that my tank was locked on a holiday weekend, requiring a higher delivery fee. Please dont use these people!!! They claim they have excellent customer support and 24 hour service, but that is an absolute lie .
