I began meeting Jenn Beaulieu in July or August of 2006. I had been involved in an automobile accident, and, through some internet searches, found that she offered massage therapy in a location near me (Fasulo Chiropractic).

We had a rough start, as I had made my first appt. with her through email and she forgot about it. When I showed up for my appt., the office was closed. I called the cell number on the front door (the owner/chiropractor, Joanna Fasulo), who knew nothing about the appt., but knew Jenn was on vacation. She told me to call back Monday, and it would all be straightened out, apologized for the inconvenience, and told me she would "do something to make it up to me" (although, this never happened).

I began seeing Jenn on a weekly basis, and, began feeling better. Apparently, weekly massages were doing a great deal of good for my injuries. I had a standing appt. for Fridays at 6pm.

One week, I found that the normal appt. was not available, so, after making an appt. for another date, I elected to register myself for appts. from late September through late November, ensuring my appts. would not be taken.

Immediately after that, the problems began again. The first week, I showed up, and was told that she had left already. The next week, I showed up, and was told she had left already - although, this time, apparently, they had left a voicemail for me at my office (which did little good, since I had already left my office to head over for the massage).

The following week, I did receive a phonecall at 4:45pm, telling me to not come - she had left already. I asked what the use was for making appts., and was given no answer.

At this point, I emailed Jenn directly. She wrote back and said she was having some difficulties with the place (e.g., she was no longer allowed to be there by herself and lock up), and might be leaving. She said she apologized that I was caught up in the middle, and was interested in continuing to see me as a client.

The following week, I again received no phone call and went to the place again. Once again, there was no one there. I called the cellphone again and spoke to Joanna Fasulo, who -- again, had no answers, but suggested that I try to find a masseuse that was a bit more reliable (apparently ignorant of the fact that the lack or reliability reflected on her, equally).

Falsehoods...but, that's the Internet for you.

Alas, nearly everything stated here by Ms. Beaulieu is completely false. 1. I never "refused" to come during normal business hours. I worked a 9-5 job. The masseuse was supposed to be there until 7pm. I would request the 6pm appointment, as that was the only one I could make. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff left at 5pm. Those were the hours set by the chiropractor; not me. 2. Because I was seeing results and because I did not have the ability to make daytime appointments, I did try to book appointments in advance - that was more favorable to my schedule, which didn't have a lot of flexibility. 3. I'm not sure how I expressed my temper; expressing my disappointment is hardly the same as a 'temper.' 4. I can't comment on the "inappropriate" and "unprofessional" behavior she alludes to. I can, however, state that, since that day, I have been seeing another chiropractor AND a different masseuse for nearly 2 years, and both are - apparently - delighted to have me as a client. 5. Alternatively, Ms. Beaulieu was subsequently fired from her position (according to Ms. Fasulo) - a point that Ms. Beaulieu conveniently omits in her rebuttal. As this is the Internet, obviously, anyone can say anything - the only things that are incontrovertible are that I've enjoyed a good relationship with both a chiropractor and masseuse; and Ms. Beaulieu was fired from her position. That - alone - speaks volumes as to the authenticity of my claim. Her comment about my needing mental health treatments (which violates Ripoff Reports TOS); and the fact that it had been "two years" are erroneous as well. My initial report was posted mere weeks after the last incident. The fact that it took Ms. Beaulieu two years to find it and respond does not mean that I, in fact, was still pursuing it.

#3REBUTTAL Individual responds

Thu, May 29, 2008

Hello, I am the Therapist reported in this report. The first thing I would like to comment on is NYS law grants me the right at any time to refuse any client for any reason!!!!! I would like to give my response to this rediculous clame to Fasulo Chiropractic while I was practicing there. Dr. Fasulo is a excellent and caring chiropractor and she should not be involved in this at all!!!! I did infact utilize space within her practice for the treatment of my clients. Many of her clients were infact my clients as well. We would work in conjunction with eachother to aid in the process of recovery and did see great results. This man who is making this claim to Fasulo Chiropractic and Jenn Beaulieu REFUSED to come into the office during normal business hours. Being that he claimed to never be available to come in during our hours I found it in my heart to stay later to accomodate him. Staying late or coming in on off times meant that I would have to lock this man and myself into an empty office where as a therapist was vunerable. Let me add that I am a very small woman and this is a very large man. After treating this man for a couple weeks he was seeing results and becoming more comfortable in the office. At the end of our session he would usually pay for his treatment. A couple times he was unable to pay and "would make up for it next week." Being I instilled some trust in this man but not being a normal part of the practice I said okay and he did. Now being this man became very comfortable he would demand to see me at a certain time on a certain day with no exceptions. I had a very busy schedule and could not accomodate him all of the time because he was not my only client and it just wasnt possible to see him after normal business hours all of the time. He would try to book me for months in advance and this was not normal practice. My receptionist kindly explained this to him and he became very upset showing his temper being very irrational. I did continue to treat him after this incident. I became very weary because his personality changed. I did see him maybe two or three times after the refusal of booking him in advance. During our sessions he began telling me certain things about his life that I was uncomfortable hearing, he would also try to engage in conversation that was not appropriate. I started to feel scared of him and told him that I would no longer be able to see him after hours because I was not allowed to be by myself in the building. I told him this to encourage him to come at a time when there were other people in the office with me. At this point I did not care if he was my client ever again. He was very unprofessional in the treatment room as well as rude to other employees. I really do wish that Dr. Fasulo does not give this man any complimentary treatments. I have not yet been able to speak to her because she is away on vacation and I'm sure she does not know all of the details to this situation being he refused to come in during normal business hours while I worked there. This man obviously has something he should be seeing a mental health professional about. This occured over two years ago and he is still persuing it. Over the years this man has left me numerous e-mails and phone calls and I do wish for it to stop. I have responded to e-mails by saying please stop harassing me and reciting NYS law that grants me certain rights as a professional. If this man continues to slander my reputation as well as anyone I may be associated with I will contact the authorities. This has become an obsession to him and he must be stopped!!!!! His claim is absoutly crazy and he should look at the situation as a whole. Anyother normal human being would see the problem with this. I should have refused to see him after hours from day One!!!!! Thank you, Jenn Beaulieu

Rebuttal against this Claim

#4REBUTTAL Owner of company

Thu, December 06, 2007

My name is JoAnna Fasulo and I am the owner of Fasulo Chiropractic. I was recently made aware of this posting. I do recall this patient's issue with the massage therapist not keeping appointments with him. I would have been happy to compensate the patient in some way, and I would still be happy to compensate him in some way, but he never called to speak to me directly. And, the massage therapist rented space within my facility and her practice was a separate and distinct entity within my own practice, therefore I was unable to obtain his records, including his contact information, due to privacy regulations and try and contact him adn make things right. There is a federal law that does not allow me access to health records without prior authorization from the patient. Again, it was therefore impossible to try and contact him since he never gave me authorization to do so. In addition, the massage therapist appeared to tell this gentlemen a non-truth since she was never told that she was not allowed to be in the office without other staff there or that her key was taken away. Due to a few other problems with the massage therapist, I did ask her to leave due to her frequent issues with not appearing for patient appointments and other professional conduct impairments. AFter leaving, she did express remorse at her unprofessional conduct while treating patient's within my facility. Apparently, she was going through a rough time in her life, and her professional conduct had suffered. I certainly found it in my heart to forgive her and there are no ill feelings held. However, I am certainly disappointed that the gentlemen who logged this rip off complaint didn't speak to me first, as I would have assured him that her conduct was not a normal routine, and she must have had some major personal problems that interfered with her professionalism. Since her departure, Fasulo Chiropractic has had other therapists who see patient's regularly and who follow regularly with their clients. And, if the gentlemen who logged this complaint is still hoping for some type of remedy to resolve his ill feelings towards my office, please call and I will try and offer you some type of complementary service. AGain, please don't hold Fasulo Chiropractic responsible for one therapists poor professionalism and for JoAnna Fasulo not being aware of where the therapist might have been at every moment. The therapist was simply renting space and running her own business within my walls. I certainly cannot be aware of her wherabouts at all times.
