It appears that the banking sector in Cyprus is having some problems. I believe that the banks in Cyprus are closed until Thursday, in order to prevent a "run on the banks". You can stay at this site and type in- BAC IS BAD, and click on Ripoff Report #668678 and scroll down to Consumer Comment #5 and sing "RUN ON THE BANKS SONG".
You can also 'Google' this- CYPRUS BANKS STAY CLOSED WORST IS YET TO COME, and read the related articles and watch the videos on the web. Good luck to you.

I must agree with the original poster to some extent -- but I also wonder if something isn't "lost in translation," as maybe they do business a little differently from that in our respective countries.
I was not allowed to withdraw funds from my account because they said my signature "did not match." Well, it very much did, and I desperately needed the money, so that didn't go over well with me. I called them, and this had to be in the wee hours of the morning over here in the US, and indeed the male clerk was unbelievably rude.
I have also requested -- several times -- a replacement credit card to access my funds, with no response.
I think with this bank, you must be careful to exactly replicate your signature and also not rely on this account as your sole support. It's likely good for stashing extra cash though.
When I called again at the beginning of their business day, another clerk -- I think one of the ones mentioned in the above comments -- was incredibly dismissive about "hearing all about the phone call" that took place previously.
Then again, there may just be a cultural divide here.
It's also noted online that FBME is trying to get the original comment removed from the Internet, but since the web company is located in Turkey for the American ripoff site, no luck. I suggest they just "man up" and allow people access to their own money in the future...then there will be fewer complaints.
