Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I purchased a 2013 GMC Acadia end of 2016 that had 63,000 miles on it from a dealership in Fargo, ND by the name of Corwin Honda. The intent of my vehicle purchase was for my startup business. Upon purchasing the vehicle the finance department offered me an extended warranty to cover anything that made the vehicle in their words "go". Since this was a vehicle for my business I knew that any breakdowns of this nature could be devastating to me financially o I opted for the coverage.

Recently my vehicle experienced a catastrophic failure of the engine rendering it inoperable. I filed a claim first with GMC as the vehicle was under the remaining miles and time of the manufacturer's warranty. Upon inspection, by GMC they determined insufficient reported maintenance records before and during my ownership and denied my claim.

Despite this, I was relieved to know that I had for once purchased a policy that would cover this incident. So the GMC dealership filed a claim with Fidelity Warranty Services a subsidiary of JM&A. Fidelity sent out an inspector to view the vehicle and determined that since the vehicle was covered under the manufacturer's warranty they had no responsibility in the matter and referred my vehicle back to GMC.

My issue now is that I have a 48,000 warranty that was supposed to be in force on the vehicle this whole time. However, to my chagrin, the warranty I purchased would not cover the vehicle during the manufacture warranty period. Since the vehicle had 63,000 miles on it the balance to end of manufacturer's warranty was 37,000 miles. Hence what I paid for was an 11,000 warranty which only will become effective only AFTER the manufacturer's warranty expired.

I feel like I was defrauded in this matter as Corwin Honda sold this to me knowingly and by virtue of the paperwork filed with Fidelity Warranty Services they allowed the warranty to be processed and paid on a regular monthly basis.

Now what I have is a disabled vehicle. I have the expense of a rental and my first build project has fallen behind potentially threatening the fiscal well being and reputation of my startup.
