First Atlantic ripoff! We called them almost every day to get our refund of $300. They keep telling us to wait thirty more days. Champlain New York
They called and asked us if we wanted a credit card and to give them are bank number. we didn't like what we had recived and sent the packet back to them, the way it said on the packet to do so. we called them almost every day to get our refund of $300. Now thay won't talk to us. They keep telling us to wait thirty more days. It's been three months.
The company took 300.00 from us for a packet. That was suposed to be a credit card, now the company will not return are money after we returned their packet. We have all the tracking numbers and the day we sent it to them, and who signed for it. They also keep using fake names when we call. It's been three months and we would love it if you could help us with this matter.

The saga continues... On March 12, 2004 $300.00 was withdrawn from our checking account with the premise of beining issued a credit card. On April 12, 2004 a package arrived with colored photo copies of bank 800 phone numbers. The cover letter had another customer service number so I called it. The number on the cover letter was for a customer serive company that stated they do not do business with First Atlantic anymore. I asked why, they were not a liberity to discuss. So I asked, do they usually stop doing business with people who do scams, they replied yes, but also did not say the First Atlantic was a scam. I called back First Atlantic and they said I must have been sent an old package, with old information. I asked what the correct information was and a correct address to the package back. It was back at the post office April 12, 2004. I insured it and sent it back priority mail along with a tracking number. It was received at First Atlantic April 16, 2004, well within their 7 day reutrn period. I contacted First Atlantic to make sure they received my package, the rude little SOB on the other end said they had it if thats what the tracking number said. I asked when I could expect my refund, he said between 1 and 30 business days. Fast forward to June 2, 2004... still no refund. My 30 bsuiness days were up on May 28,2004. I have spoken with Eric Fisher who is a "Superivisior" and Preston Langley "Adminisatration" they both have told me that I would get my refund. I spoke with Preston on Thursday May 27, 2004 and he told me that my refund should be in my account the next business day which was Friday and if it was not to call back on Tuesday. Guess what?? I did not get a refund and called Tuesday and spent 48:03 minutes on hold before a customer service rep. picked up the phone. I spoke with a very nice woman (the nicest so far) and I asked point blank if it was a scam and she said no, but to probably call back everyday to get my refund. I asked if people got a refund and she said she thinks so because they has stopped calling; I added either they got their refund or died waiting. She also advised me to contact my back, but what can they do I gave them my account information. I would go to the police,but it is under $500.00 so it is not considered grand larceny, just petty larceny. They would also not be able to do anything. I called again today June 2, 2004 and was on hold for another 43:15 minutes and the man who helped me this time said there was a note in my file tht I was to get a call from the refund department within 48 hours. We will see 48 hours ends tomorrow a 10:00 a.m. I know they know it is me when I call in; hence the long hold time. I am just so angry with them but also with myself for being so stupid and falling for a scam. I will continue to call each and every day, it is now become a matter of pricipal and I am one stubborn person. I do not understand how people can do this to other people, how are they able to look themselves in the mirror and teach morals to the children. All the people involved are no better than common criminals and all belong in jail. They steal and should pay for it.
