I applied on-line for a payday loan with First Bank of Delaware on Monday, May 4, 2009 for $500.00, on Tuesday May 5, 2009 I received a confirmation e-mail stating I was approved for the full amount and that it would be electronically deposited into my account on May 6, 2009. I checked May 6th, nothing was deposited, I then contacted the customer service number given me on the e-mail and was told by a customer service representative that since I have a credit union, usually it takes another day, I checked my account on Thursday, nothing deposited, I called again, and was told the same thing, I checked again on Friday, May 8, nothing and was told by their customer service rep. that if my funds were not in my account by Monday, May 11, 2009 to call and they would trace the funds because they had been sent out on May 6, 2009. I called this morning May 11, 2009 and was told I could not receive the funds because my checking account was not in good standing that my account was overdrawn, how they found that out is beyond me. I told the representative that my account was overdrawn because I had been promised that the fund would be in my account by May 6, 2009 and I had written a check out for a bill and because the funds were never deposited that of course I am overdrawn. The representative would not let me speak to a supervisor, just kept me on hold and came back to give me the same information. When I asked her if this was a real bank, she said yes, I asked her for the telephone number and address of the bank, and she told me I'd have to go online for that and then she had to look up the address. I told her I was going to report this company to the BBB. Then I looked it up online and found another report similar to mine and this website. Please look into my complaint and call if there is anything I can do. This company has really messed me up and they have all my information out there.
