With a motto of "Business is good...People are terrific...Life is wonderful...you would think FIRST CENTURY MORTGAGE could be somewhat honorable and give you at least 1 good lead out of 400 paid for. These people are liars and masterful con men who sell supposed "qualified" leads on supposed mortgage clients and supposedly the night before they are sent, the lead is informed that one of our insurance agents will be calling to give a quote. They put it in writing...NONE of the above is true...after calling the first 200, we found that not 1 of the 10% we got a hold of had even heard of FIRST CENTURY MORTGAGE, requested that anyone call them and were basically rude (which is understandable being that they are NOT leads at all....they are basically names out of the phone book! This company should be put out of business, executives thrown in jail and moneys should be refunded to every unsuspecting person who has been ripped off....in a fantasy world, maybe!

"We are not regulated by the licensing department because we do not do loans under First Century Mortgage...we only refer out leads"

It seems Andy Cortez (current alias), the #2 man at FIRST CENTURY MORTGAGE has decided that they are NOT a mortgage company now. His above quote in an e-mail to me was his response to my turning their scam over to the New Mexico Regulation & Licensing Dept. So, as I look back over my file, especially the contract with FIRST CENTURY MORTGAGE, and, as I review their website, how could I have been so wrong about what business they were in? I'm reminded by Mr. Cortez that they aren't regulated by New Mexico, but, in the small print, "It is also agreed and understood that this Agreement and its interpretation, performance and/or enforcement, shall be governed by the laws of the State of California (specifically, any state or federal court located within Los Angeles County, which by statute has subject matter jurisdiction). We will be looking for the "correct" department in California that WILL regulate whatever it is that you do. For the record, we have not used a single name that FIRST CENTURY MORTGAGE provided (couldn't anyway) and I will go away if I receive a FULL REFUND! Also, for the record, if anyone is remotely considering using these yahoos, be VERY cautious of Mssrs. Richard Pierce (VP), Art Vandalay (Executive Vice-President), Andy Cortez (his description of himself #2 man), Andy Charles (Senior Loan Officer). Not one of these men can be trusted!

A pennies on the dollar refund only confirms they KNOW the difference between right and wrong....

I've reached a level of frustration with these people to the point of turning it all over to the New Mexico Regulation & Licensing Department (Financial Institutions Division). These people from the top down are LIARS, CHEATERS & SPINELESS con men. I will testify at whatever venue or level I am asked to. This must stop and any contrary discussion by people who think that I should have known better are encouraged to BUTT OUT! At this point, money would be nice, but, I want them out of business!

Shame on FIRST CENTURY MORTGAGE and their well-meaning underlings!

As William trys to white wash what actually happens with the information given out as leads, we who try to work the leads know what we purchased. We were guaranteed names of individuals who would have expressed an interest in talking about life insurance and expressed that desire to a telemarketer! What we received were names of individuals who had NO IDEA what we were talking about or knew anything about FIRST CENTURY MORTGAGE. It is ludicrous for William to continue with the cover-up...the FIRST CENTURY MORTGAGE CO. is misrepresenting what their product is and are charging a lot of money for garbage. They should stick to loans...or whatever it is that they actually can do! I still insist that they refund me 100% of my money so I can find a reputable lead company to do business with. If customer service and conscience mean anything to these people, I might receive the refund...I will shout from the tallest building that they do believe in these things if they do refund my money!

You can not judge this on a few leads

One must understand that these are leads and you can not go complaining after you have given your agent to call a few leads. These are applicants/leads YOU HAVE TO WORK THEM,not complain after calling two or three. and we clearly state that on our invoice "these are not guaranteed closings". we deal with over 1000 affiliates nationwide and most of our affiliates are more then happy with our services and leads, in fact some have expanded on their operations due to their success with our leads.Due to the nature of this business and relaying on a third party "the applicant" its never a perfect science, and this program is not for everyone, and will not work for each and every agent that tries it out, but will work for the majority.
