Steven Ford doing business as First Coat Painting & Repairs, Inc. This Company Commits Fraud Jacksonville Florida
You can't trust Steven Ford or his company. After being robbed of money for a job that was suppose to be done by Steven Ford and his company, I researched and found out that this is not the first time he has done this.
I called Steven Ford back in November of 2013 to repair a gutter on a building. He came up with a price and I paid him half up front to get the job done. I would then pay him the other half once the job was done. Months went by and the job was done. Nothing had even been touched. I contacted Steven Ford about it only to get excuses in return.
He blamed the job not getting done due to the contractors that he hired not ordering the proper supplies. He said that he was going to order the supplies and get the job done as soon as possible. Again months went by and the job was not done. Nothing had even been touched. I contacted Steven Ford again and again only got excuses in return.
He had told me that his mother had passed away and that he was trying to get everything straight with her final arrangements. Being understanding I bought into it. Again months went by and the job was not done. Nothing had even been touched.
At this point I conacted Steven about getting my money returned to me so that I could pay someone else to do the job. He claimed that he would get his assistant (which he never had) to mail a check to me. Weeks went by with nothing.
Trying to contact Steven Ford has gotten more and more difficult. He refuses to return my money, my phone calls, or my text messages.
Watch out for this guy. Do not ever pay him for a job. Do not even look to him to repair or build you anything. This man is a fraud and should be prosecuted to the fullest.

I, as the costumer, am not concerned with whom you hire to do your job. I hired you, not the people you hired to complete the job. It was your responsibility to get the task done. I have all the documentation of phone calls and text messages of all the ridiculous excuses made over a lengthy period of time as to why this job never got done. I have a copy of the check given to and cashed by Steven Ford in order to start the job. I also have documentation of the lawsuit I filed trying to get my money back. But once again per the original RipOffReport I gave, Steven Ford and his company was no where to be found. You don't have any addresses that are current and never respond to any kind of communication. Since the Court/JSO could not locate First Coat Painting & Repairs, Inc./Steven Ford or a place of business I had to drop the suit. I wasn’t about to dump more money into this FRAUD of a company/person.

I am the office administrator for first coat painting and repair. As we all know in the construction business we run across some characters with lots of issues, bad habits And nothing but excuses why they cannot show up to work, but still want to be paid. People that are hired and expect to be paid for poor quality work, Or to be paid on a job that was never completed. This company pays by the job, not by the hour. A contract is put into place for employees that states the total amount agreed upon to be paid at the completion of the job. We have done work for many reputable companies and have references available upon request. Thank you for your time and reading this!
