On June 18, seven days before the due date of June 25, I paid my Frys Credit Card balance in full.
Frys did not post my payment until June 28. My bank statement shows that my account was debited June 18, and my bank assured me that Frys received my payment on June 18.
I faxed Frys a copy of that part of my bank statement which shows the June 18 payment. I also included all pertinent details Frys requested.
It is incumbent on Frys to post a payment when it is received. Frys posted my payment 10 days after they recived it.
My payment was over $900 and now Frys is charging me late fees the total of which is $55 at present, soon to jump to $97 August 25, my due date.
I was advised by a Frys representative that I should pay the late charges and that if/when this situation is resoved, Frys would credit my account.
My feeling is that if Frys cannot post my payment when it was received, then I cannot trust them to credit my account if I were to pay them money I do not owe.
I have Googled Frys Credit Cards and the First Electronic Bank and read a myriad of negative comments.
Meanwhile I have been waiting since Aug.11 to get a reply from Frys but I was told Frys has to deal with hundreds of faxes daily.
I certainly understand why if my situation is any indication.
