I purchased a Jeep in 1999 and unfortunately the First Extended Service Corp warranty as well. The last 2 years dealing with First Extended Service Corp have been a completely miserable and trying experience. My warning to anyone considering the purchase of this extended warranty is DON'T DO IT!!!

Reasons:

1) Day 1: When you bring your car in for repair, the dealer will file a claim with First Extended Service Corp to which they will reply it will only be an hour to approve the claim. (You will lose access to your car in the meantime.)

2) Day 2: In 24 hours, you will have heard nothing from the company. If you call customer service, all they can say is "it is being expedited". Eric, Sean, and Ron are all geniuses at this game and have all been taught to say the same thing.

3) Day 3: In 48 hours, you will be required to have a claims adjuster come and inspect the vehicle (he does nothing but to give FESC a reason not to pay your claim). Another call to FESC, will be met with a "all I can do is expedite it".

4) Day 4: In 60 hours, you will have been without a car for 4 days and probably renting out-of-pocket. You will call FESC and after saying that you intend to check the progress of your claim on the hour, you will get a response from Sean saying "if you do that, we may have to slow it down more".

5) Day 5: You will hear nothing from FESC and be facing a long weekend with no approval.

6) Day 6 and 7. Nothing from FESC.

7) Day 8. You have to call FESC to find out the claim has finally been approved (they won't call you).

8) Day 8. You have to pay all expenses out of pocket before they reimburse you (after they deny half the claim.)

Needless to say, even our local dealer said they have never dealt with an extended warranty company as bad as this one. DO NOT repeat DO NOT purchase this warranty service. They are a company from hell!!!
