First Franklin Dragging out payment modification until the 11th hour to forclose. Louisville Kentucky
I am in forclosure status with First Franklin right now and my sale date is 1-3-08. I got to the point were I had to hire an outside company to negotiate a repayment plan or modification with this company.
I fell behind trying to catch up with other bills after having my daughter. This company returns calls when THEY feel like it only to say "oh, I didn't get your call because I was off that day", eventhough my middleman has a personal number for this representative.
My request has been sent over to modifications and now I'm playing the waiting game. IT'S THE FIRST OF THE YEAR PEOPLE! I have a lawyer on standby to file chapter 13 that I meet with tomorrow so when First Franklin says no on the modification or repayment plan I have some prayer of keeping my home.
This stalling is deliberate. If First Franklin had any intention of helping me out they would have 2 weeks ago when I sent them EVERYTHING they asked for and more. I've even had my cousin move in with me to help out and to show more household income.
I REALLY don't want to file bankruptcy. My credit is bad enough. But I have that sick gut feeling that I'm going to get a call tomorrow morning saying "I'm sorry but First Franklin said theres nothing they can do for you.". There is ALWAYS something your mortgage company can do to help you. It just depends on who you get to work on your situation and how they feel that day. I think their employees should have to go through the things we're going through, maybe they would be a little more considerate. Maybe they would have a heart. Everybody deserves a second chance.
