This all started because i became disabled and contacted FNANB to let them know that i was going to get behind on my account also to see if they would help me in any way. I fell behind approx three months i was called at least once a day sometimes two or three times a day for the three months at that point i called and asked what i could do to stop the late fees and overlimit fees and get the interest rate dropped down from the 25.8 percent that i was now being charged, i was told that if i paid them 750.00 that day that they would stop all overlimit and late fees and drop the interest rate to 14.9% ,also i would within 2 weeks get a letter stating this . thinking this was the answer to my problem i paid the 750.00 now remember 750.00 was the amount they told me to pay i did not come up with this number on my own.Two weeks go bye nothing approx 4 weeks i got a bill showing my payment but nothing that i was told would happen did the interest rate was still 25.8% and i was still being charged late and overlimit fees, needless to say i was pissed off i called them right away and i was told that they never made this agreement and would not honor it. this started a back and forth battle i told them that until they honored the agreement that i would not make another payment. I started getting three or more phone calls a day from thier collectors during this time i kept calling them trying to get the problem taken care of explaining time after time what had happened,i spoke with everyone they would let me including so called managers at one point a manager told me that the person that made this agreement was not athorized to do so and that is why they would not honor it well approx 6-7 months went bye i kept stating my case with no results. FNANB sold my account to a collection agentcy for a fraction of the original balance what was 5,000 has now turned in to 14,000 and they are going after my home this has become a nightmare. i need some help
