First Student Dave Spencer ignoring safety concerns reported to him about the school buses. Managers getting fired for not cutting corners on safety repairs Buffalo/Rochetser NY NY
First Student and NY DOT are ripping of the tax payers. Dave Spencer the NY RMM Could care less about the safety of the children the company hauls. He will not address Safety issues reported to him. Only hounds the shop managers about the money being spent on repairs. And he has fired shop managers for ignoring him and repairing the buses up to standards with out regard to the cost. I myself had my job threatened from the first time he walked in my shop when he took the Rmm position. His clerk Carole N. tells shop managers its not what we do its how we look. ( In other words go a head and enter repairs in the computer even if they are not made so Dave Spencer's numbers look good to cooperate) A lot of good people have lost there jobs due to him setting them up to fail because he feels threatened they might bring to light what he is doing to cooperate.
And i can say for a fact if NY DOT inspectors did there job about half of the buses in Rochester would be taken out of service. I have seen body issues overlooked time and time again. I have seen tar and mud plugging holes and pass. Patches put over rot holes that prove nothing but cover the holes. I have no idea why they don't do there job either but it just doesn't seem fair to the children that ride those buses.
Some of the buses in the terminals outside the city's are real bad and should not be on the roads period. First Student can pay the shop Managers and The location managers thousands of dollars for beating their budget but complain when you put to much money into repairing a bus. I am not a well educated man but that seems backwards to me.
The tax payers are not getting the services they pay for and something should be done.
Also all the people Dave Spencer has fired should get together and go after him for wrongful firing. I bet the company would be surprised to find out what he has been doing.
