Buyer beware. 

1. Company demands all purchased be paid 100% in advance before delivery or inspection.

2. Incapable of properly refurbishing universal gym equipment. 

3. Does not stand behind their warranty.

4. Management changes constantly. No one stands up and gets issues resolved despite repeated emails and calls.

5. Does not live up to their contract.

6. Lies about delivery time and product availability. 

We purchased an entire gym from Fitness Equipment Depot worldwide in October 2013. We had them refurbish our universal gym from Sandy. We purchased two  treadmills, two ellipticals, bench bikes and flooring.

We first negotiated with April Nielson. 

After emailing photos and measurements we came to an agreement to refurbish our universal gym in sandy and purchase equipment with an extended warranty and flooring. 

We checked out their references that they provided visited with April on-site at the warehouse in Bethpage (at the time) , and it appeared to be ok.

We sent Fitness Equipment a large deposit check (our first mistake) to order our equipment. They picked up our universal gym with all the accessories and we were on our way.

We were given a delivery date for the equipment. 

I followed up on the delivery date and found out that April no longer worked with the company. 

I then contacted John Greeley (I assume the owner) about the delivery of the equipment. We were told that the parts were all in (the floor specifically) and the install would happen any day..  Each time a deadline was set, it came and went. 

We got passed around from person to person and never got a clear answer. 

Finally many weeks after the original delivery date they installed the floor, and claimed they had everything in the truck. Upon inspection this was not the case.

1. The universal gym was not complete

2. The accessories were missing (that we gave them in the first place)

3. The universal gym was missing essential parts.

4. Cords were not long enough.

5. We were lied to about the flooring being delivered / in stock / ordered. 

6. They still demanded all payment up front.. How terrible!

7. Promised a training session with users in the building (never happened) 

8. Paid with a Credir card and they didn't credit back my pruchase cost after replacing with a check. Despite claiming otherwise. STEALING!



This company is dishonest, incapable of doing refurbishment on items they don't sell normally. 

I followed up via email and phone to resolve these issues. They sent someone down to "fix the items" but the universal failed quickly again.

I followed up again and they passed me from one person to the next to the next not resolving the issues. They even told me to purchase new parts on the universal they didn't fix in the first place.

In the end I was out the investment for the equipment. I had to pay 5K to fix my 28K gym. 

DON'T BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE!
