Fitness Evolution, Concord, CA Health Club Systems Continues to debit your bank account long after you provide a written notice of cancellation Concord California
I've spoken to several representatives, and most recently, a manger Fatima, who refuses to provide me with a written notice that Fitness Evolution will no longer debit my bank account. According to Fatima, she terminated my account on February 2, 2017 and Fitness Evolution Concord no longer retains my bank account information.
Unfortunately, I've tried to cancel my membership on many occasions going back as far as August 2016, when I drafted and sent a written letter. Fatima and her crew claims no receipt of said letter, and blamed me for not coming in in person to cancel. Well, I wrote the letter to protect myself against these type of shady, underhanded bad business tactics.
Since August, Fitness Evolution, despite the numerous emails, the written letter and phone calls, continued to debit my account for 18.99.
Fatima would not provide me with the name and address of the person I could serve with a small claims petition. In fact, Fatima would give me no information at all, with the exception of her own email address, and then hung up on me.
I'm still out 132.93 ($18.99 X 7 months) despite trying to cancel in August. Worse, Fatima requested I come in in person, despite the fact I've moved out of state, to resolve this. Yeah right. She'd probably try to have me beaten up by her gang of ghetto trash. I asked Fatima if it was a reasonable request to ask me to fly in from out of state to cancel a gym membership, and she would not directly answer the question.
With all of this said, I would strongly urge anyone to think twice before giving this place your bank details. Fatima efused to confirm in writing that Fitness Evolution will no longer debit my bank account. So, it looks like I'll have to change my bank account number and details.
What a pain. I wish I'd never joined this gym.
