Foils and Dies/ Robert Barnes/Vintage Pressworks/Impend Victim of Con-Artist in Trade Business Denver Colorado
We searched high and low for a great resource to manufacture and print goods locally in the state of Colorado. When we searched online, we found-Rob Barnes of Foils and Dies.
We made a phone call to the company, as his website online seemed to be a fit with all descriptions and photos of the services we would be needing. Rob Barnes offered to have us come down for a tour of his physical property.
When we arrived, there was a large sign that said no one could enter without an appointment prior. This was a red flag, but we had made an appointment and was granted permission to meet with him. After the tour, we decided it seemed a good fit for us.
What we did not know at that time-this man had countless bad reviews online of unethical behavior and stealing of money from consumers and businesses-and we did not research beforehand-which now looking back could have preventing the fraud we are now a victim of.
We made a deposit of $3,600.00 in good faith to Rob Barnes of Foils and Dies for work that was to be delivered on April 4, 2014. For months, calls upon calls (unreturned), relentless unreturned emails to him, false promises, lies, excuses from him we still thought we would get product.
We still stand today here- as he has not delivered anything to us. He has intentionally stolen our money. He has done this to handfuls of innocent people, as we can see, to the ones that have voiced this openly and publicly.
$3,600 is something we lost and now we can only hope that other people that read this will take heed before allowing this man to have their money in his hands. It appears you will not get this back.
We are making a plea also, in addition to our own personal legal counsel that we have hired, to the Attorney General in the State of Colordo-to investigate this man, the businesses that he claims to run (the many different names and DBA's he has) to stop him from getting away with doing this to all these people. It is an absolute shame to the design trade.
