Sirs,

I am hoping you can help me, or refer me to someone who can. March 2004 was when my last Ford lease payment was due on my 2002 Ranger. I had rrecieved statement that I needed to contact a dealer. I contacted Astoria Ford,

whom I originally leased the vehicle through because I liked the salesman and owner. I had just moved from there and did not know anyone in Eugene.

Miles at Astoria Ford said that my last lease payment would be included in the buyout and he said he was getting the paperwork to me to purchase my truck. For a

month we waited for the paperwork, Miles had sent wrong papers, or wrong amounts, not matching his quotes. My Dad was a co-signer and in April sent Miles $1000.00 .

Miles promised that the correct paperwork was on its way through the post office same day mail. I had been getting paperwork from loan companies saying they did NOT accept my loan. I told Miles that I was concerned that this was

taking so long, and that I would not get a loan, and that Ford leasing was hounding me, He PROMISED that Astoria Ford would be able to get me the car loan, and that the lease would be paid off in the pay out!.We wated for weeks untill I finally emailed him stating we had not

recieved the paperwork. Meanwhile the leasing department from Ford had been calling very angrilly about the last payment. I would refer them to Miles at Astoria Ford

saying that My father had made $1000.00 payment and that we were in the process of purchasing the vehicle. I contacted Miles again saying the the leasing department was harassing me and that we had not gotten the paperwpork

promised.

Miles apologized and said he was busy and had forgotten them. I finally got the papers April 29th, signed them and sent them to my Father to sign and send.

Which he did. He sent them off to Astoria Ford on May 3rd. I called and emailed Miles on Friday the 7th to see if he got the paperwork. He never contacted me back. He called me Monday morning asking me if we sent the paperwork. Itold him that it was there. He said he would go and look and call me back. He never did call me. I emailed him and called several times. At 3 am Tuesday morning my truck was repo'ed by 2 thugs in a regular pick

up with NO towing decals or identification. I called the police. Right now it stands that Ford refuses to return my truck. Astoria Ford still has my Dad's $1000.00 And states they are sorry for not getting my purchase paperwork in on time. I contacted the person in charge of Ford Auctions in Portland Oregon. I gave her my story, She said she would contact Astoria Ford to verify my

story.

She called me back 5 minutes later and stated that Miles at Astoria Fordsays I am a LIAR! She sold my truck the next day. I am now being harrassed by Ford saying I owe $600. for what is owed after my truck was auctioned.

PLease tell me there is something I can do . There has to be laws to protect people from such neglegence. I have a disabled child. Now I have NO transportation. And I

had made 23 out of 24 payments on my vehicle, just

to lose it because of circumstances out of my control. Ford took my truck because of Ford's mistakes. In every event in my life, I ask myself, if I could have handled the situaltion better. This one has me stumped and

flabbergasted.

Please, if you cannot help me, can you refer me to someone who can?

Thank you

Valerie

This is a bold faced lie! They were signed and in their posession for over 3 days before my truck was repo'ed.

Thu, July 29, 2004

I received a letter from the owner of Astoria Ford. He obviously didn't read the report, cause he did not see where I stated that I went to Astoria Ford because I liked the people there as well as they were the only Ford sales people I knew. That is neither here nor there. The point of his obscene letter is that he says I never signed the papers to purchaes my vehicle. This is a bold faced lie! They were signed and in their posession for over 3 days before my truck was repo'ed. I hate liars! Miles first told me that because the self addressed envelope HE sent us, went to their post office box instead of the store, He got my SIGNED papers too late. Then the story from the Ford Repo lady whos name is Elizabeth at 1800-201-1045 x 15213 said that when she talked to MILES, He stated to her that I was lying. and that there was no money OR papers signed. The truth is...I called the 7th Friday morning and spoke with their receptionist. She confirmed that the paperwork was there at Miles office. I BEGGED her to make sure Miles got them and that he call me imediatly! He never called me back.It is obvious in Dane's letter that because there was NO money it it for them. That Astoria Ford was NOT going to invest in good customer service.I followed the directions of the Moderator who made suggestions. I emailed EVERYONE on his list. What else can I do? Thank you all for helping me. HUGS! Valerie ps I am cutting and pasting Astoria Fords letter ----------- Forwarded Message: ------------ From: "Dane Gouge" To: Valerie Subject: Re: Ford Folks Date: Thu, 29 Jul 2004 20:13:33 +0000 Valerie All I have to say in response to these letters is that you came to us to refinace your lease on the vehicle you were so happy with. because of your credit issues this was very hard to do. with your step fathers help we were able to get it approved but you did not sign the papers and your truck was repossed where in any of that were Miles or myself at fault. please list all the facts when telling your sad story about how we RIPPED you off. because last time I checked we dont make any money on rolling someones lease into a purchase and it is something that any dealership could of ccomadated you in.You came to us because you liked us so much (you failed to metion that) I'm dissappointed that you would have so many ood things to say to my face about our dealership but when you fail in an endevour you blame it on us Dane

Valerie Now that you have damage to your credit and the fact that you have no wheels, it's your turn to kick some a*s! Trust me, I feel your car dealer has no plans to help you. There might have been a problem in the car deal that you were trying to do and the sales department had no balls or backbone to get off of their fat lazy butt and try to help you. Maybe they felt there was not enough money in the deal for them to help you. Many car dealers and car sales people are like RATS. If there is nothing to eat, they are GONE! I can't say that I can help you get a set of wheels, but I can say that I can help you get the word out as to how your dealer dropped you like a hot potato. What I am posting below is contact info that your A Hole car dealer would not want you to have. Many car dealers say they care about their customers. They say "Hey we want you to feel at home when you come to our dealership" "We want you to think that we will be there when you have auto needs." Trust me Valerie Many only care about you when there is money on the table for them to grab. Now it is time that you expose this car dealer. Get the word out as to how you feel about this car dealer. Make sure that when someone does a Internet search for this dealer, they get to read your Rip Off Report. Car dealers hate it when they find that they have made the rip Off Report. They soon find out that they can't delete your Report and they can't stop other car buyers from reading how you feel you were treated. Now email these people at Ford and tell them how you feel about this car dealer. Ask them to look into this Ford dealer's C.S.I. The way you say you have been treated, they might be sending false info on their R.D.R. Cards. Use all of the contact info I post. Make sure that all of the below get to read your Rip Off Report. Trust me if you see to it that the below get to read your Rip Off Report your car dealer will not like it. Maybe your car dealer will call you and ask that they have a chance at getting off of their fat, lazy a*s and do something to help you get a set of wheels before the below people at Ford get to read this rip Off Report. Trust me they want these people at Ford to "THINK" that they are doing right by car buyers. I am also very sure that they do not want Ford Motor Corp. to think they are Burning R.D.R. cards. I Feel that they do not Ford big shots to read how you feel. I also feel that your Ford dealer would NOT want Ford to think they might be burning their R.D.R. cards. Trust me you might not know what I am taking about, but Ford and your dealer knows what I am saying. I feel it is my job here at ripoffreport.com to be as helpful as I can, even if I have to be a pain in the a*s sometimes. Many car dealers just like to hear that "Big Sucking sound" The sound they and you hear when you have to make your monthly car payments. The sucking sound of your hard earned money being sucked out of your checking account every month. Valerie I hope that what I posted will help you in some way. Make sure that all of the above people get an email from you. Send them all a link to your Rip off report. Maybe your Ford dealer will try to do you right before the folks at Ford get to read this Report.

Its a FLEECE to begin with!

Why get involved in such a stupid, convoluted garbage transaction to begin with? Any reputable family financial counselor will tell you never ever get involved in a CAR FLEECE. No matter how great they make it sound, YOU are the LOOSER. Dealers will tell you how much a great deal a CAR FLEECE is. They are right! Its a FANTASTIC deal FOR THEM!!! Where does that EXTRA profit come from? Y-O-U. No matter how great they make it sound, no matter how they flatter you by telling you how smart you are....remember...a car lease is a CAR FLEECE and Y-O-U are the one who gets sheared!!!!!

Spelled Out In Black And White

#5Consumer Suggestion

Turned in a Ford on a lease in Dec. 03. On the contract I got when I leased the truck it spelled out exactly what I had to do on the back in black and white. 3 options were offered. Buy the vehicle straight out, refinance the the vehicle or return it at the end of the lease. The contract gave you a time line to follow. I think it said you had to return to the original dealer. I think Astoria screwed up and now you are paying for it. I'd contact Ford directly and see if they can be of assistance. Sorry to hear about your situation and good luck.
