Forest changed their formula of Armour thyroid in spring of 2009. They did so without inforning the patients who were on it or the doctors who prescribed it. Most people did not do well on this new formula. Some had return of their hypothyroid symptoms and others had side effects. A few people did OK with it, but the majority of patients did not. Myself, I have experienced a rapid heart rate and an increase in my blood pressure. The old formula helped so many of us, where the synthetic medications did not work well for us. Now because of this formula change in Armour, so many of us are plagued with symptoms and/or side effects. I'd like to see Forest go back to the old formulation that worked for so many of us. Changing the fillers did have an effect on us and because of this change, many of us are no longer feeling well.
