Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

January 2011 we finally decided to respond to a mailed solicitation regarding help with the modification of our mortgage terms.  We spoke with Manny Renteria and he was most helpful in telling us what paperwork was needed.

We scanned and e-mailed the information and then spoke with Ray Sparks who discussed retainer fees and sent more forms.  We completed the forms and returned them with a check in the amount of the quoted retainer -- $2,995.00.  In order to get this money we had to take it out of our IRA because we had completely depleted our savings.

After sending the money, we were told a 'client documents' representative would contact us with information regarding the progress of our application.

When we were actually able to reach someone on the telephone, we would be told 'it was being reviewed by the lender.'

When I had e-mailed and called enough times, I would finally get to speak with someone who would always tell me the previous person had left the firm or was on extended leave, and the account was now with whomever.

December 18, 2012, a letter was sent out stating that due to their inability to contact us, if we did not response within 72 hours of the date of the letter, the account would be closed and it would cost $600.00 to re-open it.  The letter was received by us on 12/24/2012.  I wrote numerous e-mails and left voice message with the last "representative" assigned to our case, to no avail.

Mid-February I received a call from Mike Ruggles. at which point he received my full wrath regarding the outright lies that had been attached to our record and he was further told that there was no way he was getting an additional $600.00 from us.

Ruggles graciously waived the fee..haha.. and said we would be assigned to Betty Betancour and she would call us within 48 hrs.  It is now March 11 and we still have not received a call.

In the meantime, I called our lendor to explain the situation.  They had no record of Forest Law Group being attorney-of-record nor had they received any documents from FLG.  Furthmore, they said they did this for free and all FLG was doing for their $2,995 was acting as an intermediary by getting the documents from us and then forwarding them to the lendor.

Please beware --- this group is a group of con artists scamming their way through life with the money of innocent, desperate people.
