Fox Lake Ford Thomas Auto Group Rip Off... Don't go there Fox Lake Illinois
While watching tv one day I saw a commercial saying that the first 100 people to call Fox Lake Ford would be entitled to an auto loan. I called and I talked to a salesman who informed me that I was approved after my credit check. I advised the salesman that I was coming from Milwaukee and I would not come unless I was approved. He said I had nothing to worry about and that I was approved for a loan with no money down.
I drove down there and when I got there they told me that I needed at least $3000 down. asked the sales person why wasn't I informed this before I drove almost 2hrs.and he said that he didn't know. When I looked around at the cars the prices were not on the cars just the years. When I asked the price of a particular car I was told that they had to run some numbers and would not give me an answer.
While I was there another customer came in also from Milwaukee and she was told that she had to put down $2500. She test drove the car that she wanted and was about to purchase it when they told her that there was nothing that they can do with the money down and she would need more. While she was there they sold the car that she was supposed to buy. The sales agent began arguing with the customer. Fox Lake Ford is a rip off they promise you one thing just so they can get you to come in their quota.
Another thing is that it doesn't look like a professional car dealership which it is suppose to be. The inside is dirty and they don't have good communication and stability with their staff. Whatever you do, do not get fooled by the commercials its a scam.

I also filed a rip off report against Fox Lake Ford. They seem to promise you one thing to get you there and then when you finally do get there, they change their story. Their story changed several times with me. It wasn't worth it. I also filed a claim through the BBB. It looks like I'm not the only one who did that as well.

Their story changed several times with me. It wasn't worth it. I also filed a claim through the BBB. It looks like I'm not the only one who did that as well.
