I wanted to rent a Luxury Car for the night of my engagement.  I check a few rate online and found that Fox rent a car was one of the cheapest.  I asked if they had luxury cars and i was told "yes we do, we have the chrysler 300".  i ask if the car had leather seats.  i was told yes.  Perfect i thought i will go snag one of these and be on my way for a great night.  the next day i drove down to the rental agency and got in line.  I had my mom with me just in case the debit deposit was too high.  it was foolishly high so my mom offered to put the cost on her card and then i could pay with my debit card when i brought the car back.  how long would the the deposit stay on her card i ask the young man from behind the counter?  10 days for a debit card but only 24 hours for a credit card.  Well thats cool my mom picked up the tab and added me as a second driver (10 bucks more) plus since i would be driving and they told me the person who rents the car is at fault if a accident occurs they talked me into getting the 30 something dollar insurance.  ok not such a good deal anymore but, what the heck its my big night and who cares right. 

we sign the papers and head out to the side where the cars are pulled around.  the pull up a ford taurus.  i tell them i had reserved a chrysler 300 with leather.  the poor guy they have hand the cards out tells me they gave the last one away this morning.  Hmmm.  well thats not what the guy inside just told me minutes before.  so i go back in and ask about the car i anted.  oh sorry another girl tells me that happens sometimes.  ok fine just get me a nice car with leather.  sir we dont have cars with leather she states.  WTF!  that is really the whole reason i am here is for a luxury car.  i get a manager and he looks at me like sorry dude, and offers to upgrade me to an suv.  umm no i wanted a luxury car.  well not im tired and i just wanna go so we take a black taurus and get outta there thinking to ourselves this is just as nice.  so i take the car back the next day.  i pay with my debit card and leave with a receipt of the transaction. 

1 week goes by and my mother calls me and asks me why she got charged over double the full price of the car rental.  i tell her i dont know because i have the receipt right here that says i paid for it.  so i call the company.  the lady at the service desk tells me oh no sir all deposits take 7 to 14 days to get refunded.  i ask why the heck the guy at the counter told me all this crap about 24 hours and leather seats and cars they dont have and she says they would not say that but she will look into it.  i ask for a manager and was put on hold a while and i get another lady who i ask if she is a manager and she says "she works in the corp office".  ok well thats cool but can you help me get my mothers money back before xmas is over?  she tells me no and i would have to speak to the branch manager.  after several failed attempts to do just that i am told that the manager is not in and i will have to try tomorrow.  Thanks so much for lying to my mother and holding on to her money right before xmas.
