We rented a postage meter from this company for years. In September of 2014 our postage meter quit working. My first request for help was 9/27/2014. No problem, I figured. They will repair or replace it. First of all getting someone on the phone takes forever. They tell you that you can go to their website and get instant help. There is a support button on their website. But that only gives an option for emailing them. The first time that I got a hold of them they tried to get me to sign a 3 year contract and get a new more expensive meter. To be fair I had asked about upgrading since it was broke. Then they told me that supposedly the type of meter I had was to be phased out by the post office. Ok well I looked over the contract and information on the new meters. I told them I didn't want to sign a 3 year contract. And I didn't like the new meters because they use ink. I'm not a fan of ink printers. They never gave me instructions for returning my meter. I tried to take it to the post office to see if they could help me. I finally sent them an angry email on 11/18/2014. I never received a response until 1/19/2015. 2 months later!!! Sorry you are canceling your service, can you please let us know why. I replied about the issues I had and the poor customer service etc. Now it is June 8, 2015. I received a statement for meter rent and an email telling me that they would charge me $100 if I don't send in an inspection report. The inspection report has to be printed on the postage meter. The postage meter hasn't worked since September 2014. I called and talked to A/R. When they think they are getting money they are much quicker to answer the phone. But alas they transfered me. So I sat on hold. The woman told me that I had to pay for the current year. Or the balance that was due plus 90 days from the date I return the meter. Even though I had already told her that nobody ever gave me instructions or a form to fill out to return the meter 8 months ago. At that point she still insisted that I would owe. I did tell her she could kiss my b** if she that I was paying. She immediately told me the phone call was over with because she wasn't going to be talked to like that. I thought it was pretty mild language considering what I have been through. The worst thing is that I had unused postage on the meter. The amount is at least $100 because that is what I set my low postage warning to warn me. All I know for sure is somewhere between $100 and $1,000. Can't access it because the meter is broke. When we first signed up the company was easy to deal with. Loved my old meter. It was very affordable. I can't say how disappointed I am or how ripped off I feel. And they want me to insure the meter for $2,000 to $3,000 when I return it. I will be glad when this nightmare is finally over and I don't have to speak to them again.
