FragranceNet Shipping rate switch and bait Haupauke New York
I placed an order with FragranceNet. I used my credit card which was no big deal because the system in Norway allows you to have a Visa that you have to put money onto in order to use it(great for ordering things on the net because no one can add charges since it's always seen as being 'maxed out'.
Since it was an international order to be shipped to Norway, I wasn't upset when I found out the shipping rate on the website was $36.95. But 3 days after I placed my order, FragranceNet contacted me and requested that I send them an extra $60.07 to cover the 'extra weight and haz-mat charges'. I told them, in no uncertain terms, that I absolutely would not authorize an extra $60.07 charge to my credit card and that furthermore I wanted a refund of the almost $350 that I had placed the order for.
After reading the other complaints, I'm sure the plan all along was to just charge the extra money to my credit card and hope I didn't notice, or hope that I was just some dumb forgeiner who wouldn't know any better. But the joke is on them because I'm an American living in Norway!! ha ha ha I'm sure they got a nice little surprise when they tried to send that charge through. I wish I could have seen the expression on their faces!
