This report on Frank Beninsig is not accurate. As part of performing what you have complained about (ie: fund raising and patents), one must examine all aspects of ones business in order to determine the soundness of not only the business, but what if any, of that product or idea, is truly patentable (not just patent pending).
That being the case, as another businessman, I do know Frank. What you have said about him is far from the mark. He was upfront and honest with you in regards to his personal life, and still you wanted to work with him. Frank continued to work with you, as he went about his other work process of discovery with the USPTO. None of this takes overnight, nor is it for free. That being said, Frank did attempt to put together investor meetings with other people/clients (you never know who might want to invest in another persons business), and pitched the idea of franchising.
In conclusion, I only see a snippet of a story of what may or may not have happened. No one works for free, and although you put out a terrific product, in the end it may not be patentable.
