The Shelby store told me it would take 2 weeks for my glasses. It took longer and then was the wrong prescription. So it ended up being 4 weeks for my glasses.

They don't hold up to what they say. I was told by the Sterling Heights store that rechecks were free and I asked the womed 3 times. Because they had to write me a prescription and needed a recheck they charged me $25. I explained that I was told it was free and all they said was I could pay them at my recheck. I argued and they said if I gave them back their prescription I didn't have to pay.

To order something from another store everything has to be faxed. And the Shelby store almost ordered the wrong type because they didn't bother to read the note on my card.

You have a lot of guts to talk about "ethics" when you are nothing but a corporate shill. Holding a person's eyeglasses for ransom (for $25.00!) is a rip-off of the highest order. And it's libel, not slander.

THE INDIVIDUAL IN THIS MATTER IS AN ADULT. AND IF ANYONE NEEDS ADULT SUPPERVISION IT WOULD BE THE MANAGER OF THE STERLING HEIGHTS STORE. WHEN I CALLED TO TALK TO SOMEONE IN THE OFFICE I WAS TOLD I'D BE CALLED BACK THE NEXT DAY. THE FOLLOWING DAY NO ONE CALLED AND I HAD TO CALL BACK AND WAS AGAIN TOLD THAT MY CALL WOULD BE RETURNED IN AN HOUR. AN HOUR AND A HALF LATER I HAD TO CALL BACK. THE MANAGER WAS THEN VERY RUDE TO ME. WHILE TRYING TO CALMLY TALK TO HIM HE KEPT YELLING, GETTING UPSET, WAS SAYING THINGS THAT I NEVER THOUGHT A MANAGER WAS EVEN ALLOWED TO SAY AND WAS ABSOLUTELY NO HELP. I'M A MANAGER AT A STORE AND SO I DO KNOW HOW TO KEEP CALM AND TALK TO PEOPLE WITHOUT LOSING MY TEMPER AND BEING OFFENSIVE. I ALSO KNOW THE IMPORTANCE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE. I WAS TOLD THAT NO OTHER EYE GLASS COMPANY WOULD RELEASE A CONTACT PRESCRITPION. AFTER CALLING AROUND I FOUND THAT STATEMENT TO BE A LIE. OTHER COMPANIES WILL RELEASE THE PRESCRIPTION WITH A RELEASE PAPER SIGNED. THE STERLING HEIGHTS MANAGER TOLD ME THAT THEY DIDN'T NEED MY BUSINESS AND THAT I WAS NEVER TO CALL OR SHOW UP IN HIS STORE AGAIN. I HAVE NEVER HEARD THOSE WORDS OUT OF ANY MANAGERS MOUTH BEFORE AND I WAS TAUGHT THAT YOU NEVER TURN A CUSTOMER AWAY. I DID TRY AND CONTACT THE OWNER SEVERAL TIMES AND LEFT MANY MESSAGES BUT WAS ALWAYS TOLD THAT HE WOULD CALL ME BACK AND HE NEVER DID. I WAS GOING TO REPORT THE CONDUCT OF THE MANAGER TO THE OWNER BUT I FOUND OUT THAT THE STERLING HEIGHTS MANAGER IS RELATED TO THE OWNER AND THAT'S HOW HE GETS AWAY WITH TREATING PEOPLE THE WAY HE DOES. THE MATTER WAS HOWEVER FINALLY DELT WITH BY THE MANAGER AT THE GROSEBECK STORE. SHE WAS VERY NICE, POLITE AND HELPFULL. I NO LONGER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AND WOULD RECOMMEND NEVER GOING TO THE STERLING HEIGHTS STORE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE TREATED BADLY AND RECEIVE NO CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Inacurate and spiteful intentions

This person's story is greatly exagerated and inacurate as well as bordering on slander.The glasses that were made wrong and supposedly took 4 weeks to get were made by and through her own vision insurance company that supplies their own labor and workmanship on the glasses[NOT FRASER OPTICAL]. This individual did call for "a recheck appointment",maintaining that her recently purchased contact lenses were faulty.Our staff did aknowledge that rechecks of this nature would be no charge.However it was discovered during her office visit that she had conjunctivitis[eye infection] wich needed further diagnosis and follow up evaluation as well as an over the counter perscription to be filled.The examining Doctor found nothing wrong with the fit and condition of her contact lenses.The Doctor also explained to her thoroughly what her particular condition was and what sort of fees and policies are involved with services of this nature.There was no way of pre-determining this before hand because the Doctor simply did not know what her condition was before entering the office. It is common ethical practice in any Doctor's office to fax records[exam results,case history, etc] from one office to another upon request,especially when the patient has had prior occular health problems.When trying to justify this to the patient,I was met with hostility and disparaging remarks that were offensive. I would strongly suggest that this adolescent behaved individual be in the accompaniment of an adult or parental supervision while attending any further appointments at this establishment or any establishment that requires a certain amount of responsible and mature conduct.
