I also am dealing with these people where they tend to misrepresent "thier" clients. I started recieving harrassment letters and threats of lawsuits from this company. They will not even give you any information on the alleged debts unless you give them all your personal infomation including place of work, phone numbers, banking info and the such so they can start trying to pull infomation and find out thier fastest way bypass the fair trade process and steal from comsumers.
They start off by threating to sue if you don't pay in full right then and there and come up with some off the wall amount but do NOT provide any infomation where they arecoming up with the bogus amounts. Once you refuse to admit to and refuse to deal with them any further then you start getting other letters from them with different amounts and then expect payment with still odd payments or full pay-offs.
Then when you still refuse to deal with them and they finally get around to file anything with the court system they again do not supply any information other than to make you use your time and effort deal with them either directly or filing a response to their alligations.
I am at the point that they have filed for a summory judgement to the court system and that that the information that they are using is incomplete as in the dates when the debt has alleged to go into default and amounts.
My question is also what is the statue of limitations on debt collections for the state of GA in relating to "zombie debts"?

Do not give them any imformation such as your place of employment and /or your work #. I never give a collection agency my place of employment and or my work # . Do not give them your account #s as well. Stay off the phone if you have call reject on your phone use it. or you can send a cease commuinucations letter certified but keep a copy for your self .
I read were some one sent those cease communications letter by fax every day until thier machines ran out of ink and paper and it said fax error. I said that is not a bad idea .
If they demand your imformation give them bogus imformation

It looks like Rip Off Report redacted my links on how to fight debt collector lawsuits for Hanna and Zwicker, and for help blogs. For help with the lawsuits you can do a Google search for a book and webtsite by Allen Harkleroad titled “Stick it to sue happy debt collectors.” The help blog I linked is Next Level Unlimited Credit. I do not have any stake in any of these sites, I am just posting to try to help other consumers. I do understand why Rip Off Report redacts links though.
They also redacted my link to the 6 yr. SOL in GA. You should be able to find this doing a Google search for Hill v. American Express, 289 Ga. App. 576; 657 S.E.2d 547; 2008.

The Georgia Supreme Court says Hanna is a "law firm," so you have to submit a bar complaint vs. them (and not a consumer complaint with the state OCA or federal FCC -- but fine if you do that too anyway). You may submit a bar complaint vs. Fred Hanna (the owner of the "firm") and any atty. that may have contacted you that also violated bar rules for atty.s: (Call and ask for a bar complaint, and if they have them online):
