In January, 2005 I saw an advertisement on t.v. promising full assistance for acquiring free medications.

It would cost $199.99 but the company, Free Medicine Direct would handle all the paper work and save me lots of money.

I called, they took my information, confirmed the medications were on their list and they would send out the paper work. This took over three weeks, but they took the money out of my checking account within a week.

As soon as I received the paper work which was one sheet, I filled it out and returned it next day mail.

I was approved on March 21, 2005. I have been told that I would receive the paper work for the doctors by March 28th, I didn't receive them so I called, they said for some reason the paper work hadn't been mailed out. I called the next week and and told them I still hadn't received the paper work, they then promised it would be sent second day air. I should have received it April 11th, didn't. Called back, was told it wasn't sent out but was promised it would be sent second day air by UPS and I should get it today, April 14th. It hasn't arrived.

I will call tomorrow and request my money be returned, which they promised they would do if I wasn't satisfied.

Please be aware they talk a good story but do not follow through.

Medical Direct Order Center Nature Of Business This company provides to consumers written materials containing information regarding how people can apply to pharmaceutical companies for free prescription drugs. Consumers pay a fee of $199.00 to the company to obtain the forms needed to apply. The company fills out the required forms and mails them to the consumer for review. The consumer is responsible for obtaining his/her doctor's consent and mailing it to the pharmaceutical company for approval. The company does not guarantee that it can obtain free prescription drugs for consumers, and is solely providing a consulting service. Customer Experience Complaints have been processed by the Bureau in its three-year reporting period. Although the customer disputed the company's response, based on BBB experience the company properly addressed all the issues of the complaints. In addition, other complaints processed by the Bureau in its three year reporting period were closed as resolved. The number and type of complaints are not unusual for a company in this industry.
