freecreditreport.com Fraud - auto sign up. I ordered my "free credit report" for $24.95, they auto enrolled me for credit monitoring for $12.95 per month. A year later I discovered this. They refused to refund my money North Hollywood, California
In November of 2008 I got my "free" credit report from freecreditreport.com but to get the other two agencies you need to pay $24.95. When you order this credit report, they AUTOMATICALLY check the box that enrolls you in a service you did not order!!!!! which is credit monitoring for $12.95 per month. I discovered that they did this in August of 2009. I immediately called them and spoke to Chris, Employee 620 at 1:30 p.m. on August 20, 2009. I demanded a refund for this service that I did not sign up for. I told him I did not order this service! He said that when you order their credit report it AUTOMATICALLY checks a box for you to get their credit monitoring service, YOU HAVE TO UNCHECK THIS BOX. He then said you have to cancel this service that they signed me up for within a certain amount of time or your credit card gets billed monthly. I warned Chris that I was going to complain to every agency known to man and I am, to every regulatory agency over this company, the BBB, the governor, my congressman, and on it goes. I asked for their physical address so my attorney could serve a lawsuit on them and he gave me a P.O. Box address of P. O. Box 1827 Agoura Hills, CA 91376. I AM MAD AS H*LL AND I AM NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!!!

You obviously have a wonderful attention to detail. Not only did it take you almost a year to discover that they have been taking out $12.95 a month, but you must have missed it on the site that you were signing up for a monthly credit monitoring service. Oh and where was this notice, right on the HOME PAGE and at the place you enter in your credit card information. From the Home Page.
