I was contacted by a "Moses Storch" in regards to a Craigslist ad I posted. It mentioned I would have to go to a website in order to get a "free" credit report to verify myself for an interview.
I saw through the scam the whole time. I was directed to this website initially:
http://www.smithmasterson.com/site/property168_28oct.htmI had to enter this passcode:
propman23
Once inside there is a small form to submit. Notice that the "interview" map shows a location based on your IP address; it's not a real location.
When you click the link to go to the "free" credit report website you can read the fine print and verify it's not free at all. Look at other reports listed here, they will charge you with crazy fees multiple times.
Here is the address to avoid:
https://freecreditreports247.org/
Here is another address associated with them:
http://www.hugeclix.com
And another:
http://www.cpamarketplace.info
And another:
http://trackinglive.net
I didn't fall for this crappy scam, and hopefully no one else does either.
