I have recently graduated from university with a Degree in Mechanical Engineering and was approached by one of FFI's recruiters regarding MPG-CAPS.

I decided to research these caps and began on FFI's website reading the two reports that are provided. Frankly I unimpressed by the standard of these reports which almost look amateur. The section at the end of the nameless 'inventor's' report states:

"This coating....is catalytic increasing the efficiency of your engine, reducing operating temperature and pressure."

Now the point I would like to make is that reducing the pressure in the cylinder of an engine will make it more INEFFICIENT.

Let me explain through example: It is commonly known that diesel engines are more efficient than gasoline engines, because of the difference in compression ratio. The compression ratio is simply a ratio between the volume of a combustion chamber and cylinder. Diesel can be compressed much more than gasoline as gas becomes unstable at high pressure and can spontaneously ignite. Diesel engines have larger compression ratios creating much HIGHER PRESSURES and TEMPERATURES in the cylinder: This makes diesel engines much more efficient. If engine manufacturers could significantly increase the pressure in the gasoline engines they would be more powerful and efficient.

Therefore if these caps reduce temperature and pressure in the engine then the engine will be less efficient.
