I played Free Lotto for less than 1 year and I won $10,000.00 dollars. This was genuine money. At the end of the year I was sent a 1099 Tax Statement to file for taxation purposes as no taxes were deducted from my winnings. I have been scammed on numerous occassions but this was not the case at all. I would like to caution everyone to read everything thoroughly before making any type of financial commitment. Don't hesitate to research a company or product. The information that I am giving is not given hastily . I lost my life's savings to a scam. With all offers and wins-please check the fine print. Sometimes the way a sentence is structured makes all the difference in the world. To stay on point, Free Lotto is not a ripoff.(my personal opinion.)

The person who wrote the above article did not do their homework, I'm afraid. FreeLotto is run by an American company called Plasmanet Inc. Mark Hopgood owns Plasmanet UK Ltd, a British company that provides excellent internal communications software to large corporations. It has been running since 2002, and I am an ex-employee. We were made aware of the Freelotto scam a few years ago when a few misguided people, desperate to claim their 'winnings', emailed their credit card details to us. Horrified, we destroyed the credit card details immediately and did some research. We were concerned, naturally, that Free Lotto would give our company a bad name. It seems that Plasmanet Inc. are difficult to get hold of directly. And careless customers have mistaken Plasmanet UK Ltd as the Free Lotto provider. However, Plasmanet UK Ltd and Mark Hopgood are not connected to Free Lotto in any way.
