Jerry -- I am a previous employee of FQ.com and I worked in the sales department. FQ is notorious for charging people's CC's without approval if added charges are processed from the carrier. Regarding Pickup of the freight, that could have been a couple things. FQ.com does an auto dispatch and the carriers are supposed to get those to pickup the freight. I'm not sure where LaGrange is but if it's not a major metro area, then the carrier may only come by your area once a week. Freight getting damaged is nothing new with SAIA, they are pretty bad about damaging freight. I would never have my clients ship with SAIA, unless it was something that couldn't get damaged (ie. steel rod or something). It sounds like the carrier re-classed your freight after they damaged it. My guess is the sales rep put the wrong freight class on it when they shipped it and didn't check to make sure it was the correct class. You need to call SAIA and get the local terminal that your damaged freight is at and ask for the terminal manager. Tell them you want to see pictures of the damanged freight. Good luck with everything.
