My wedding is/was on June 29 2013

I was promised beautiful EXPENSIVE COUTURE HAIR EXTENTIONS certified by their owner stylist Bethany I was told they were ordered and all appointments preset for my big day!

We started with permanent eyelash EXTENTIONS with Sonja- lasted 3 days! I called ... Left messages... None which were ever returned..  I went in... Showed them .... Complained... Was re booked for a " re-do  a week later ... 1:00 Saturday the 15 eyelashes on Monday 17th eyelashes off On one eye only. Called .... akways yold managemebt was busy. or unavailable ... or that I was to come over only to find Ashley skipped out early to avoid talking to me....so I Went in AGAIN...Ashley the owner/manager took me pinto her office where I calmly explained I was told lashes stay on two to three weeks before needing a " FILL" NOT 3 days !! I asked for a refund immediately She refused! Substandard product and a SUBSTANDARD lash technician ! Two days later they called ( 7 days before my wedding) to say they couldn't get my " Great  Lengths" hair EXTENTIONS after all! Mall the trails all the consultations I was charged for was not going to happen! No feeling of caring No feeling of apologies expressed to me whatsoever!

no refunds for lashes which are over priced to start with we're given to me they adamantly refused to refund me or help me in any way shape or form. I left in tears!

BRIDES RUN FOR YOUR LIFE! Later that day after finding three other certified Great Length hair extention salons I was able to buy my SAME HAIR SANE TEXTURE SANE LENGTH!!!! And was here in 3 days!!! They lied to me ! Upset a bride ! They are dishonest and caddy- who treats a Bride like that??? Happy to take my money upfront- but not provide service promised!

Their Salon is beautiful on the inside but truly lacks integrity, honestly , and good business practices!

I have two written letters from other salons who are certified just as Fresh is , in the same services, who stand behind me 0!

save your money!! go to Hair Habit Salon or Amanda Vincent Salon or Élan they are nice, kind, great at hair and weddings and HONEST!

several per wedding consultations and trials took place at a very high cost for both hair and makeup which trust me you want to stay with each category with a specialist iN their field NOT someone who does makeup for fun or has ideas that she's qualified to perform the service.

Drop It Already, You got Your Services, You Got Your Money

Dear Valerie,

Lets get this straight.  So Satori, which is now closed but was at 3242 Southgate Circle, was owned by a Valerie Walters (at least according to the numerous ripoff reports filed).  And The Tea Room, which you told us you owned when you were here for services, is also at 3242 Southgate Circe, and you are telling me this is a complete coincidence and these are two different Valerie Walters?  Honestly, if this is true, then I PROFUSELY apologize to the other Valerie Walters who was brought into this completely ridiculous, childish conversation.  But that just seemed like too strange of a coincidence to me.

Honestly, this was never a legitimate complaint and we did not choose to turn this ugly.  It was a ridiculous, unfounded complaint, and it turned ugly when after getting refunds and complementary services, you still chose to file chargebacks for the services you did receive, and started trashing us all over the internet.

The last time I received notice of a chargeback from you, was just before my wedding and due to being out of town for my wedding and honeymoon, I missed the deadline for responding, so good for you...you got your money back.

So now, you received your services, you got your money, you've managed to trash a company that otherwise has a decent reputation, on a website where it can never be removed, and you've now taken up HOURS of my time dealing with this, when I tried 7 months ago to solve this amicably.  If that's what you were trying to accomplish, then congratulations, you win.  Now please....please, please, PLEASE, just leave us alone.

Respectfully,

Ashley

The owners of Fresh Style Salon Spa in Sarasota, have taken a serious complaint and turned it very ugly and have attempted to hurt good people and companies in the process in defense of their bad rip off review. For the record, there are multiple people in town with the same names.  Not sure where they got their information but the closed business satori hair salon was owned by someone named that but it was SOLD and the new tenants, are a completely different  business NOT A HAIR SALON, and they are  at the former salon location, renting in its place,  which FRESH have involved in their rebuttals - that business should sue Fresh style salon spa, for saying hurtful things regarding their company in our wonderful town.

Sadly "FRESH " must resort to low blows,  to defend their position, To make readers believe what they wrote is fact even though it's NOT. Clearly the brides remarks and statements upset them at FRESH. Isn't that obvious? All businesses get good and bad reviews, some are from employees, some from disgruntled "ex" ones, and others from ex customers who feel ripped off.  After contacting former owner of Satori and we found out the truth, and negative Rip off reports were written by former subcontractors who broke their contracts and stole private client files to boost their own followings , which is illegal and unethical. Does that make her a liar and a cheat? Of course not!

The new tenant at the SATORI's former location (which  was closed 3 years ago) -is and a brand new company is in the former location . But FRESH STYLE SALON AND SPA IN SARASOTA, feels it necessary to confuse the public from the real circumstances that lead to the writing of the original rip off report against them. We are sure some of their staff are very good at what they do but the owners and managers Ashley and Bethany, sisters, who think they can write on Rip Off Report and maliciously hurt innocent people for the purpose of getting even for a bad review in order  to build themselves up to make their case APPEAR believable... Is wrong and Unprofessional and unethical.

So before you judge -ask yourself , why would a bride go for weeks of consultations- pay thousands of $$$$ upfront! ( which is documented with credit card receipts) and when the services either were NOT provided  but paid for, or were substandard- WHY SHOULDNT she BE ABLE TO DISPUTE IT and have freedom to express her UNSATISFACTORY experience to the community??? The  thousands of companies that did business with Ms Walter know she pays her bills and is pleasant to work with.

Sadly,  FRESH SALON  misrepresents her and her reputation and slanders innocent others and their company and have brought this negativity all on themselves and their desperate attempt to make anyone that  reads their rip off report about her horrible bridal experience with them, is FRESH's  sad attempt to make you believe they never made mistakes or handled their business affairs poorly! SARASOTA nobody is  perfect!!! ... NOT  EVEN "Fresh Style  Salon Spa but they'd like you to believe otherwise.

Completely Inconsistent With The Truth

#5REBUTTAL Owner of company

Tue, July 16, 2013

There are so many pieces of this review that are inconsistent with the truth that I don't even know where to begin.

At the end of the day, this client, Valerie Walters, is a cheat and a liar who told us from day one that she always knows how to get a deal, and we should have seen that red flag and never let her in our spa again.  We were more than accomodating to her, and all that did was backfire in our faces.

We have provided Valerie Walters with all the services she paid for, plus additional services she refused to pay for...we also refunded her 100% of her deposit for the services we couldn't provide.

As far as how each of her interactions played out with us, nothing she wrote is accurate....there are at least 20 separate lies in her complaint of us.

Please visit our website at www.freshsalonsarasota.com/reviews to see the 100's of reviews we've received from happy clients.  Until she became a client of ours, we have never had anyone dispute a credit card charge, and while we aren't perfect, we do our best to right any situation that a client does not feel happy with.  We run our business with honesty and integrity and customer service is of utmost importance.....some people are just too crazy to help.

Told us on her first visit how great she was at getting a deal....should have been a red flag to stop trying to help

#7REBUTTAL Owner of company

This client was difficult to deal with from day one, and unfortunately we made the mistake of trying again and again to accomodate her...only to have it backfire on us, and now here we are dealing with credit card chargebacks (the first we have ever had as a company) and negative reviews all over the internet.

At her first visit she told our esthetician that she had been, and would continue to be, crying a lot becuase of a sick father and had had had trouble with eyelash extensions in the past.  She was warned that this was probably not the best time to get the extensions, as crying will wear them off, but she said she wanted to try them anyway.  After she had them a little less than a week, she called us and said many had come off.  She came in that Saturday (1 week after her original appointment) and we told her we would do her 1 week fill for $35 instead of the usual $50, because she had lost a few more than would be expected...she agreed, got her fill, and then left and refused to pay.  After not getting paid for this service, we then spoke to her the following Wednesday, and she said they all came off of one eye again and she was going to come in and show us.

In this same conversation, we also told her that Great Lengths did not have her hair available, and gave her another extension option, that she said she was going to think about.  We would have much preferred to do the Great Lengths service, because it is a more expensive service, unfortunately for us we had to give her the less expensive, lower quality option, because that was all that was available. Bethany told her I would be there till 5, because I had a meeting to go to at 5:30, and she showed up at 6 and I had already left.  I did not "skip out", she just showed up too late.

She came back in the next day, and came into my office and demanded a refund for the eyelash service.  I explained to her that we had already done a $50 service for free and that I could not refund her, because it was not due to us doing the service badly that they were not staying on.  She knew from the beginning that crying would ruin them, but chose to ignore our warning.

At that point, I agreed to give her one more deal (I felt bad because this was a bride, and the last thing we want to do is ruin someone's wedding day....we do a few weddings a week for hair and makeup, usually large parties, and we are very aware that dealing with the stress of a bride is much different than your normal client).  At this point I agreed to, the day before her wedding, do a $250 full set, for only $75.  I thought that after getting a $50 service for free and getting a $175 discount on another service, this would be enough to satisfy her.  She agreed and then left not in tears, but confirmed her future appointments and was quite content with how things had worked out.

The next week, she filed chargebacks for all the services she had received that month, and began writing as many negative reviews as she could.  At this point, we called her to let her know that we would not be able to accomodate her for any more services, as it was too much of a risk to our business.

As far as the hair extensions, she decided two weeks before her wedding that she wanted extensions. For a stylist who is fully booked, this is not enough time to get in and do a service that takes 8 hours.  In order to accomodate her needs, Bethany had agreed to come in on her day off to do the extension service and told her she would check that day to see if she could get the hair.  The client placed a $900 deposit and we called that day to order the extensions.  They informed us that they didn't have the colors we needed and that on the following Wednesday they would have their next delivery.  We called back that Wednesday, and they still didn't have what we needed, so we immediately called to inform her that we couldn't get the hair in time.

When she came in the next day to show us her lashes, we refunded 100% of the hair deposit, and she told us she was going to be going to a different salon where they would be using a different, lower quality, brand of extension.  For this reason, its very surprising that she is claiming she had Great Lengths....it seems that she's either lying to make us look bad, or that someone lied to her.

The only place to get Great Lengths extensions is directly from Great Lengths, USA, so unfortunately, whoever did her hair either put hair extensions in her hair that were the wrong color, or used a lesser quality extension and told her it was Great Lengths so they could charge her the Great Lengths price (they run $1500 - $3000).  Ironically, the only person who actually ripped her off was the person she ended up spending a lot of money with.  We know 100% that her hair was not available from Great Lengths, and the only company that can verify that is Great Lengths, USA...not our competitor who wanted to get her business.

We pride ourselves on being very honest and doing everything we can to accomodate our clients.  We are not liars or thieves, and we have NEVER in 4 years of business, had a client other than this one dispute a credit card transaction.  We have over 300 reviews on our website at http://www.freshsalonsarasota.com/reviews and while we're not perfect, looking through these reviews will show that we provide a quality fair service.

We learned our lesson with this one, that if you get a feeling from day one that someone is going to try to rip you off, they probably are.
