Frys Electronics Treats emplyees like crap , Internet
I worked at Fry in Alpharetta, GA for a year or 2 and they treat employees like crap. I was the only female in the components department and was never given any respect by my Department Manager. C (the manager) would torment me if i was even late by 1 min by making me restock a large pallet of power strips to perfection. Then he would laugh about it. He was buddy buddy with the Store Manager at the time so he could take all the breaks he basically wanted.
I was offered a postion in another department as managment around Christmas and when i asked him to transfer me he claimed that "it was the busy time and couldnt afford to let me go and to come after the holiday" but after Christmas when the position was still open the told me that "i don't think you would make a good manager" even though the department manager of software/games wanted me badly and asked him more than once. I asked him if i could move up into a Sales position and he said he would give me a trial run but when he did he never allowed me access to the computer to make quotes and in turn other sales men got the commission that i "sold" the guest on.
I did earn a raise from 8 to 10 but then when i earned that raise he really took it out on me. I came in one day and he was in the parking lot with his buddys smoking and talking (buddys = most of the managment) i showed up on time but was stoped as i was walking in by a team member asking me about a shelf. i clocked in and (my assistant departmant manager saw me with this team member and was fine with me) my boss ran in looking at the clock then came over and said "restock the pallet of hard drives" and walked off to go to lunch. At the same time a customer came over seeking something that we only had 2 of so i stopped to help him/her look for it. I came back about 30 min later (yes i had to go through back stock to find it) and my boss was back saying "that's not your job!" Even though the guest is priority # 1! Then proceeded to add ANOTHER palette.
At that point i gave up and said @uck it and left. Clocked out tossed my badge and left. And proof of this crap going on?
He called me 20 min later after seeing my bf pull out the parking lot with me in the car and said "i was just joking come on back" I hung up
2 days later my assistant department manager calls and says "are you coming to work today?" and i said no then when i went in i was told that frys "fired me" for gross misconduct and disrespect of leader ship.
and be aware that re stacking pallets is done in the back of the store by another team when we get them they are ready to go there is no need to re stack.
