Primary Complaint Classification: Selling Practices

Complaint:

My investigation shows that you should have a great number of cases like mine on file concerning FURNITURE-USA, Clemmons, NC. On 4/02/2004. I purchased AICO Paradisio furniture from F-USA through the Internet with a downpayment via AMEX,with a promised delivery of 8 to 12 weeks.Started expediting at 8 weeks, with no response, repetitive email expediting efforts,no response except to tell me to contact another company representative.Through my investigations from California to N.C., I have now found a big trail of problems. Now I find out F-USA has never ordered my furniture after 16 weeks.F-USA is C.D.D. with several furniture manufacturers.F-USA has in the past requested more money to push up delivery with other customers.F-USA reported to me today,7/23/2004, that they have had so many truckloads since April of AICO furniture to order that they could not get my order placed.

I have contacted AMEX to dispute payment to get our money back.Sent demand letters to F-USA to credit my AMEX account.Finding more and more horror stories concerning other customers that they have been treated the same.Finding this BBB report on F-USA confirms my problem.I have multiple hard copy records in file,in case BBB needs them.By finding a legitimate Internet dealer for AICO furniture, delivery is 4 weeks.

Please see what you can do to stop this.

I need to know the name of other Associations to report this type of Internet/Interstate action. Would you please forward such names to me, please?

Desired Settlement: Other (requires explanation)

Settlement Explanation:

1) I want my AMEX account credited for $1273 and $77, immediately.

2) I want a State of N.C. attorney general investigation for possible Internet/Interstate fraud on the part of FurnitureUSA.

3) I need direction from you as to how to help stop FurnitureUSA from hurting other innocent people.
