I have worked for Dean for over 7 Months no way did this happen, he had a loser client steal a laptop that was left in a car and let it go after the Washington county sheriff said no joy, this guy is lying, why is this coming up again?

This is a perfect example of why the Communications Decency Act should be modified in respect to the responsibilty of web hosts which publish refutable defamation. This company, Futrell Autowerks, provided information, including police report numbers, that show the the original complaint was a lie. However, you jerks continue to benifit(advertising revenue) by refusing to remove a shown lie. You at Ripoff Report are beneath contempt. I hope the someone does the same to you. Better yet, if Congress corrects it's mistake, those who have been slandered with your aid can eat you for lunch in court. Have a bad day.

I just read your report and absolutly nothing of what you said jives at all. I have had lots of work done at this shop, They always have work done the same day, and have been more than friendly. What local Audi dealer did you take it to? Why wouldn't you post that information?
I think that this post needs to be reviewed for accuracy, including contacting Washington county records for the filing of 5 criminal charges.

I am a long-time customer of Futrell Autowerks, dating back to at least 2006 and have brought at least 3 different VW cars to Dean Futrell for routine maintenance and enhancements. I am also an attorney and mechanical engineer - so I am not easily duped. I must say that my service experience has been 100% honest, reliable, and professional. Dean Futrell delivers exactly what he says - whether in writing or verbally. His shop treats my cars as if they were museum-quality heirlooms (which they are not). I have complete faith and confidence in the service, price, and quality. I have recommended Futrell to friends. Futrell has corrected, at no cost to me, errors and blunders caused by the local VW dealer.

A friend of mine suggested Futrell Autowerks for some needed service. I took my 2003 Passat in for Timing belt replacement and the other front belts, the water pump, front brakes and a few other additional minor repairs. Dean was friendly & informative. He even delivered me to work himself. The quality of the service was first rate & I will be recommending Futrell Autowerks to my friends, as well as returning myself.

I worked with Dean numerous times with my years owning both our fairly-heavily-modified '92 Corrado and our '95 Jetta and not only did I never have an issue with Dean or his staff, but I would drive from Vancouver, WA down some weekends or on get-together days just to see what was going on down there. This is the type of shop you WANT to spend time at, get to know, and be thankful are in the area.
Dean and staff not only provide high-quality work, but wonderful customer service and a passion for the cars they work on not usually seen outside of hot-rod shops. Hats off to Futrell Autowerks and swing by before listening to this one-off rant... I guarantee you will find them the opposite of what you see described here.

From Futrell Autowerks Inc.
We thought you may be interested in a follow-up to this false report especially since it calls into play questionable business practices and illegal activities. Scott Seeley (the filer of this false report) was arrested twice more for writing checks from a closed account, an account that had been closed nearly a year before he began writing checks from it so he knew exactly what he was doing when he wrote the checks. The second check was to Gratteris Les Schwab in Hillsboro for new wheels for the Audi, the third check was to a used car dealer in Beaverton for $15,000 when he traded in the Audi for a Denali! Initially the DA released Scott for the check he wrote us, AND the check to Les Schwab, on the third check they set an actual trial date and he made bail, that was in August of 2008. Scott moved out of the area and now (last we checked) has two warrants out for his arrest. This entire fiasco has really been a disappointment for the Futrell family and our business, clearly we were victimized, ripped off for over $2000 worth of parts and services. The legal system broke down and let a criminal walk free to continue ripping off other local business and the thief in turn files this false report which we are asked about on a weekly basis. This website (Rip Off Report) will do nothing to remove this report, weve provided them with case numbers and receipts but they stick by their policy of not removing reports, false or not.
Take away from this what you will, hopefully youve taken the time to read the rebuttal and the follow up. If in doubt check with the Washington County Police Records division 503 846 2524. The events posted in this report never happened and we hope that the sheer audacity of this report filed is obvious and if youre looking for Audi or Volkswagen service you still consider us. Futrell Autowerks has been in business for over eight years, theres plenty of positive reviews for us on Yelp, Yahoo, Google, etc. We also donate 2% of our net profits back into the community, our fire department, the sheriffs office and the Beaverton and Hillsboro School Districts. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and we hope to earn your business.

This report is 100% bogus, we did attempt to do business with this individual and he wrote us a fraudulent check from an account that had been closed over six months earlier, he has subsequently been arrested for negotiating a bad check, WA Co. Case # 08-506982. I did warn the other local shops that this guy was out there writing fraudulent checks to upgrade his car. Thankfully the Washington County Police took immediate action to bring this individual to justice. For the record he didn't provide any of his parts, and if he does have a legitimate warranty issue with any of his work once his bill is paid in full he will be able to utilize his warranty (but I suspect his complaint is totally bogus just like this report) We of course have full documentation for all parts purchased by Futrell Autowerks for his repair and the flywheel resurfacing bill from the machinist. No criminal charges were filed against any employees of Futrell Autowerks Inc. during the subsequent attempted collection of funds.
