Long term member of Future Fitness.  On 03-01-10, Future Fitness took out monthly dues in excess of what was authorized.  Found out that they took an newly instituted Enhancement Fee without any prior notice to customers.  Have called at least 10 times since 03-03-10 leaving messages for manager to call back.  Did manage to talk to a "salesman" on Saturday, he advised that my membership was with a new corporation and that they are kindly not charging me a $149.00 initiation fee (already paid them an embarassing $400 to join in 2002) but that they were increasinge monthly dues and that my old contract was no longer VALID. Paying the $149 would lock in my monthly rate.    Spoke with owner Craig (from his Turnersville office) who also told me that my contract was not valid and explained the enchancement fee and monthly increase.



Last night my husband who also has a membership and had additional monies taken without authorization called to speak with manager.  Was referred to another salesman, Jeff, who advised that he with with a customer and did not have time for this "bullshit"  He hung up.  Called back and stated that we wanted to terminate our membership and was told that we had to give them 90 days notice.  They did not give us 90 days notice of the enchancement fee or the increase in monthly dues.  We have been told by three people including the owner that our contracts are not valid yet we are being held to a contract.  Can't be both ways.  At this point, we no longer want to do business with this company - have been members since 2002 and expect a call back from manager and proper treatment from other staff.  I am sorry I ever did business with this company and would advise anyone considering membership to run the other way. 



We have called this company over 10 times in 7 days and e-mailed the General Manager three times and are being ignored.  Have already put a complaint in with the better business bureau and will contact Consumer Affairs and State licensing board.  As far as I am concerned, they stole funds from my bank account without my permission or prior notice.  They are quick to sign you up and take your money but there is no service after the sale.
