All lotteries and casinos are in the business of making money. However I have noticed that many of the Georgia lottery games are not random. I know the odds can be great for these games but when games are running for weeks and months at a time with no winner that does not appear to be random. If you only need 5 correct numbers it is difficult to conceive that no one in a two-month period can achieve that. At the end of the day it is my responsibility to not play. However, unfortunately I believe there should be some regulation to the amount of cheating that can be done. I know we don't want a bigger government but people take advantage and they take capitalism to the extreme. It is never about setting reasonable goals to achieve something such as wealth. I am finding that in this situation it will only hurt poor people. The program is supposed to benefit young people wanting to attend college, however they manipulate that as well by changing the GPA requirement. Children having a lower GPA are not bad children and sometimes their home lives keep them from being able to obtain a 3.0 or 4.0 GPA. A hungry child is not going to be on his or her game, a child who has not had sleep or is beaten will struggle. Some children have very difficult home lives which would keep them from being 3.0 or 4.0 students. Once again a social welfare program put in place to help the less fortunate is now serving the purpose of putting money into pockets where it is not needed. And for the complainant on this site to attach this to race I believe is ignorant. First of all the Lottery Commissioner is not run by an African American, it is a White female Debbie Delugolenski-Alford. . And if you look on the lottery website at the winners you will find that they are not predominantly African-American. The winners tend to be in places not near in and around Atlanta. I agree the games are rigged but it is not racial it is class. The rich get richer and the poor will stay poor.

The response to the GA Lottery Complaint is not relevant... He is speaking about a stop payment issue.

If you re-read what was written your first comment was addressed.  As a reminder this is the very first sentence in your original report...

They've ruined me financially.

A single failed stop payment of around $1200 when you claim to have had over $30,000 in your account is not a reason to be ruined financially.  In fact if we went further it was further proven by your own statements that your only "loss" even if we take it at your word was around $3600.  So it is impossible for them to have "ruined" you financially because even after the damages you claim they did you should have around $26,000 in the bank and not be overdrawn by over $500.  So there is more going on here than you are admitting.

Perhaps you should post where this 26K went.

Now, just to address the check.  A "stop payment" is not guaranteed.  It depends on the exact circumstances and there are points when it may be too late to actually stop the payment.

Oh and no I do not now or have I ever worked for this or any other bank.
