Galerie Concord They said they are selling art that had been purchased below value at estate sales and will resell them within a few years; I tried to contact them now with a question about an appraisal and saw there has been class action law suit against them; I have never been contacted or notified about it W. Montreal Quebec
I too have been lied to, They fraudulently sold artwork "at a fraction of it's retail price" (they said they had bought these at estate sales mainly) and told me to hold for a certain time period and then they'd sell it at a much higher price and they'd get their commission at the profit. I am a pediatrician, and did fall for the selling tactics of my "art broker" Alexandria Pierce and later Nancy Harrison. Over the years of 1998-2002 they got me to buy this artwork at 50-70% discounts because of Peter Max's IRS issues, world-renowned art galleries going bankrupt, 9/11 causing problems with values, buy now because LeRoy Nieman and Kay Ameche will die soon and their artwork will double in value, etc. Lies and fraud as it turns out. I bought 2 Ameches, 2 Michael Delacroix, one Peter Max, one LeRoy Neiman, one Hessam, one Nechita and one Norman Rockwell, Total sales $25,425.
