I received an unsolicited advertisement from Garcinia Plus 100. I read the advertisement page twice looking for any indication of a charge on their offer to try their product for free except for a $4.98 fee each product for shipping and handling.
I entered my personal information including name, address and email. Clicking the "Next" button closed the page and brought me to a new page where I was required to input credit card information.
After completing the transaction a confirmation email was sent saying that I was signed up and would be billed for a monthly open ended charge of $89.98 each product after the 2 "FREE" products.
In short, they captured my personal information, credit card and email address info for free. They put no notice that you would be entered into a monthly reoccurring open ended contract at $179.96 a month. I would have never signed up and I would have passed on the advertisement.
This is a classic case of Bait and Switch. You could make a living falsely advertising something just to acquire a mailing list of valid personal information for sale, and most people probably get charged several times before they get it stopped.
I had to call several times to get the items and charges removed.
