Gasoline Redemption Center Scamming During The High Gasoline Era and Economic Meltdown Largo Florida
I was watching a commercial one day back in September of 08 about a car dealership that went bankrupt just days later.It was Bill Heard in Columbus Georgia.They said if u would just come and test drive a car they would give you 300 dollars in free gas.This was back when gasoline was over 4 dollars a gallon.So I went over there and it turns out it wasnt a gas card for 300 dollars but instead a form you had to send in to the Gasoline Redemption Center in Largo Florida.
You also had to send in 5 dollars and i think it was checks only.Why not cash??So i did everything required.They then sent me gaslone vouchers that i had to send in once a month.I also had to choose just one particular kind of gas station like shell or exon or walmart etc.You had to send in receipts totaling 100 dollars.They were then supposed to send you 25 dollars in the form of a gift card.
Well i sent in my November 2008 around December 1st.You allow 57 days at the most.My math tells me that today is Feb.09 and that it has been 71 days.No money.Now the 1 800 number i did use before to contact them is no longer available.My e-mail to them doesnt work.I now believe they wanted your check so that they can try to do identity theft.Stay away from these scammers.
