gate gourmet do not work here they are opportunist who work you very hard in a very cold 32 degree temp.
they are apart of the union which takes a lot of taxes outta your check and of course you are only making 8.50 an hour with out the possibility of eating of getting 30 min break and if you dont own a car this is not the job for you count less hours 8 hour shifts with overtime required and to be open for any shift
also its very hard work with little time to get things done and the employee's there are loud and ghetto and of course u can not come to work with out your aiport i.d that means if you forget your i.d ou will be not allowed to work and fined 50 $ and you have no sick days to take and you are working in a cold cooler for 8+ hour shifts and gate gourmet takes out a lot of taxes as well as union fee's and you are making at the most 8.50 an hour and dont call off for a sick day cause you will be missing a whole day pay it's unfair and if you take the blue line o'hare train here be prepared to leave the house 2 hours before your shift starts because o'hare has the worst mean tsa employee's who would hold you up if you make them mad or give attitude then you have to wait on shuttle bus's 30-35 min wait to take you to gate gourmet kitchen site then you have to walk across a big car lot until you get to the site and you have to pay five dollars to get out of o'hare add that up every day .....not worth it former employee
