This individual Gavin Maliska has lied, conned, cheated, and tricked people who really wanted a job in broadcasting. He promises one thing and do another. He slashed employees' salaries just to have more money in his pocket. Gavin is a bad, controlling, and demanding individual that does not want to anything to help young people. For instance, he wouldn't allow a producer to be a reporter and told them "you got in the way of the information" and refused to help them or do anything for them despite that the producer really wanted to be a multi-media journalist (MMJ) reporter and has no intention of being a producer nor a career in newsroom management. He later tries force them to be a producer. He did this at the Delta News (WABG/WXVT/WNBD/EABG-TV) in Greenville, MS where the station and its employees were all on their own reality television series, Breaking Greenville. He also shut down the Delta News (WABG-TV) website for his own purpose to save money before he was forced to reactive the site.
There is no way for its viewers to watch the Delta News newscasts online. He cut out live streaming newscasts on the station's website. He and Northwest Broadcasting gobbled up all four stations in the Mississippi Delta (everyone but Gavin was living in impoverish conditions both inside the station and in the area of Greenville-Greenwood, MS) and took them off cable provider systems. Nowadays, the Delta News have no mobile app and are constantly inactive on social media. Gavin didn't want the staff giving out information. He also screamed at staff and sexually abused female employees. He finally left the Delta News in March 2018 to pursue is career of writing books to young children which he only made one book and sold one copy of it.
Everyone hates Gavin Maliska. Even one employee said: "Gavin Maliska is a stern, demanding leader who prioritizes hard news. He appreciates a hard work ethic and an employee willing to go the extra mile. While you may excel at your job, Gavin will not tell you anything. That said if you're sensitive or feel the need to be told how much you're appreciated, you may not want to work for Gavin Maliska. While I wish some of my efforts were more appreciated under Gavin Maliska, but it's not his style to show it. Some days I didn't think I was making progress because Gavin Maliska isn't the nicest guy in the world. "
Gavin did not care about news or his employees. This man is an idiot and a loser who thinks he is a know-it-all despite having a 28-year-old background in news.
