Gay Options Dating Service Guaranteed Introductions to Professional Women in My Area Vienna Virginia
When I called Gay Options, I specifically asked them how many women they had in their database who lived in my area (Minnesota) and who matched my criteria (age range, college degree, etc). They claimed that they had over 300 women that fit my criteria within 100 miles of my location. I questioned them on that, but they assured me that it was true. As I told them, my biggest hesitation in signing up for the service was a lack of women in the database and, therefore, a lack of acceptable matches. Well, I suppose I should have known better than to take them at their word.
I signed up for Gay Options 8 months ago and I have yet to receive one introduction. The only contact they made with me was offering me a match with a woman who lives on the East Coast and meets very few of my critiera. Luckily, I was able to refuse the match since she lives over 1,000 miles away and I was very clear about requiring that my date live in my geographic region.
Several months into my membership I called Gay Options, told them I had read reports from other members on Ripoff, and said I felt I was being scammed. The woman I was speaking with immediately became flustered and transferred me to someone else, and that person "assured" me that this was not the case, and they were working very hard to find me a match and that I would receive one "any day now." Well, that hasn't happened yet.
This company should be ashamed of itself for targeting gay and l*****n professionals who have limited avenues for meeting one another and who were willing to take the risk of signing up for a matchmaking service. They figure that they can get away with their scam because few people are going to file a lawsuit saying "I was ripped off by a gay dating service." Well, if Gay Options does not follow through on their end of the contract-- and does not refund my money-- that is exactly what I intend to do.
