GE Capital Cons Cardco ripoff Dayton Ohio
GE Capital Cons Cardco ripoff -- Gives wrong payment address to other credit companies and holds checks hostage Dayton Ohio .....
My time payment without interest account is due to be paid off by Jan 20th to avoid almost $400 in back interest payments. I used a balance transfer to pay off the amount and it hasn't yet been credited. I called the creditor to find out why. They said the address given for GE Capital Cons Cardco was "Computer City, P.O. Box 2016, Omaha, NE" I called GE Capital Cons Cardco...and this turns out to be their corporate office.
My credit card company mailed the payment out December 23, 2002. The person at GE says that until the payment is received by them in Louisville, KY, it's not officially received, even if their corporate office received it. I asked how long it takes for the corporate office to forward the check and was told up to 30 days which takes us to Jan 20th.
I don't have $400 at this time to shell out. If citibank cancels that check, they have to wait for it to credit back to my account and then reissue (can't be done in time for the 20th). What can I do? They're holding my check hostage!!!!!
